  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah I probably didn't explain very well. Like the first call released was someone enquiring about a player and pasha directing him to the director of football. Another was pasha just giving out a phone number. There's no ammo there for us who oppose the venkys and board but potentially an avenue to gain sympathy from certain sections of the fan base "oh look at the coalition resorting to childish / illegal tactics" If the calls had eventually led to pasha haggling an insane agents fee on a purchase / sale then it's a different ball game.
  3. We don’t have any soldiers but plenty of con or piss artists
  4. Preston appear to have entered a death spiral of their own as of late. Losing 3-0 at Boro after a 3-0 home defeat in midweek and a 0-1 defeat to Derby before that.
  5. I feel similar. I was old enough (just about) to enjoy the tail end of Souness into the Hughes era, but wasn't to start going more regularly on my own til the Kean & Venky's rot had set in. I've been on a personal boycott since the Eustace shenanigans and it feels utterly strange to have this huge gap in my life where Rovers should be. I can sympathise deeply with today's boycotters, it's brutal to feel forced to stay away from something I could describe as running through my veins, but I must say the benefits of not being permanently frustrated and angry with the mess-state of our club has helped. All the power to every fan boycotting today, whether physically not entering the ground, or refusing to spend on top of a season ticket. Here's to far better times and a return to undying connection to the club we all love!
  6. I defer to your knowledge on this but I recall Tyjon leading the line last season when others were on loan/injured. Perhaps, it was much less than I vaguely recall. At some point, Boggan, Wood, Leonard etc. were all unavailable. For a teenager lacking real pace or physical strength or great wingers to feed, albeit, he is very talented, it made no sense. To my mind, he was overplayed.
  7. and no doubt Millwall will pay him double what Rovers would offer anyway
  8. Anyone going today will you be good enough to post some pics of the empty Stands. I can see another spoof 12k attendance being given by the Club.
  9. I think we are pretty much dead and buried but today presents a chance for us, West Brom only drew, Charlton currently trail and Pompey don’t play till tomorrow. We won’t win though so it’s irrelevant
  10. pne surrendering their play off chances, thats 6 conceded in two games and it`s not even half time today🙂
  11. Tell me about it. I’ve only heard stories of the good old days.
  12. he`s a class act even at 35,don`t think he`d fancy swapping one crisis club for another tbh
  13. I thought he often played there for Legia? Regardless, he's still better than De Neve.
  14. Jesus, you poor sod. 2010? You've just seen shit.
  15. The same legal team that we spent tens of thousands of pounds with on the McGuire case?
  16. Barry Bannan leaving. wouldn't mind in coming. Walk into our midfield since we are so poor as creating.
  17. Probably through one of the Sport England or Football Foundation pots. Given our Championship status we wouldn't qualify for many of the stadium and facilities grants on offer. Give it a few years though ...
  18. Tbf I think RoverDom was suggesting the calls would draw sympathy because they've been released publicly when the calls would have been considered private at the time - as opposed to the actual (largely banal) content.
  19. i just want rovers to be well run, like they used to be,promotion is a bonus but it would`nt matter to me if we were as skint as we were in the 80`s just as long as those running the club were doing it for the benefit of blackburn rovers.thats not been the case for the last 15 years
  20. Based on the Gestede calls, we’d be offered £250k and by the time Rudy had finished we’d be receiving £125k.
  21. I think they’re saying just enough for us to have no idea what they’re saying 🤔 The alternative is I’m stupid - it could well be that one 😄😄
  22. Good point Is it possible that its not an option to buy, but is instead an obligation to buy after he makes 20 appearances? That would make more sense Edit - I really should have read your whole post before I replied
  23. This seems like a very strange clause to me, if it's optional. Yverdon wanted a sale. They've no reason to care whether he played 20 games for us. We should prefer the freedom to decide regardless of games played and have no reason to ask for that clause. Given both parties knew he would be out for months to begin with, it seems even stranger. The only way I can see it is if it isn't an option but an obligation. Rovers were known to change their mind on buying once the injury was revealed. 20 games would likely demonstrate he was over it, and give Yverdon some security over getting the money if he was as good as they thought he was, rather than us just using him as a (presumably) cheap loan. I guess there's one other way I can see it - if the player's side insisted on it. I guess he could be reluctant to be bought fairly cheaply just to be a backup player.
  24. Desperately hoping this is the first step in ridding ourselves of this ownership. It's been 15 years, quite frankly we've been incredibly patient but it feels we are definitely at a point of no return with Venkys. They're done, there is no getting the fans back on side, our relationship, not just with them but with the whole hierarchy is fractured beyond repair. Rovers is our club, not theirs. It's time to take it back. As final note, if this boycott isn't as successful as hoped (in terms of empty seats) we can't be too down hearted, it's just the first step and the longer this ownership keeps dragging us down, the more people will follow with action.
