  1. Past hour
  2. Also did make me chuckle that Jackson wrote "There are also reservations about the direction in which Rovers are travelling with fears over 'managed decline', as described by one source." I wonder if his source on this one, is multiple people on this forum?
  3. By Christ, there is possibly going to be a very angry reaction there with that scenario.
  4. Be my formation but I'd start Gueye alongside Ohashi and have Kargbo on the bench nd Tronstad instead of Travis.
  5. I'm sure Elliott Jackson wrote an article pre-season about how our opening fixtures were kind and we should get off to a good start. Penny for his thoughts now.
  6. Can I at least go and play on the M25 to reduce travel costs?
  7. Mostly friends but a lot of the tine on my own. It's hard to get people from London to talk about Rovers let alone come and watch them. It's a fair point though, I don't really miss that social side as I've never really had it so its easier for me to bin it off.
  8. Feel sorry for Travis after reading that. Loyal servant. But if Derby are offering life changing money to him, then they shouldn't chuck ยฃ1.5m at Rovers.
  9. Itโ€™s like when your neighbour gets an expensive car. โ€˜Yeah, well, I heard it pretty much drinks petrolโ€™.
  10. Comedy stuff from Jackson again today. So Travis wants to do Rovers a favour by going now rather than next summer so that we receive a fee? Jackson reckons Ismael is open, honest and 'an open book' - says who? Who gives Ismael his information? That's right, the liars upstairs. Unsurprisingly that ridiculous claim/admission from Ismael - unnecessary and unprompted - has gone down badly with Travis - it has made his future untenable which is EXACTLY what the the regime have wanted - they want him gone and they want the blame piling on the player and Derby and not themselves. I am however glad that Jackson is acknowledging for the first time that the 'party line' from Rovers - that they've made him a good offer to commit - might not actually be the truth and that other parties suggest there has never been a formal offer made (which is what I believe and the evidence seems to suggest). Jackson thinks that the above becomes 'a debate over semantics' - I disagree. If the truth of the matter is - as I suspect - that the player hasn't even been given a proper offer to stay - then this needs making clear to the paying public and the deluded brigade need to swallow their medicine and learn their lessons not to trust a word this regime comes out with ever again. The money offered by Derby described as 'life changing' by both sides - if you want a sentence that displays what these people have done to this club then there it is. Of course this suits Rovers again because they can make out like we were never in any position to keep him up against such 'resources' (actually Derby aren't wealthy and have brought in less than we have in the last 3-4 years). That is a lie because they could have made offers during last season and didn't, which is why Travis confirmed this publicly in March and why Eustace walked out. Ismael is either an idiot or is complicit in the shenanigans for his comments after the last two games.
  11. Anyone wanting Rovers to lose a game needs to go and play on the M6, end of, unless it means the inbreds down the road being negatively impacted, and even that is hard! It is a horrible, horrible waiting game for us to be rid of these owners, but have to cling on to the hope that one day they will be gone, and we hopefully are able to move forward. So, come Saturday, when "Big" club roll in to town and the referee blows his whistle, I don't give a dam about anything else but Rovers trying to win a game and send them packing. Rovers to win 5-1, courtesy of 5 different scorers being Captain Dom, useless Hedges, couldn't hit a barn door Gueye, uninterested Tronstaad and "big" club keeper palming a long throw in to his own goal.
  12. I am so tired of this football club. Gaslighting and throwing our own players under the bus. Travis is no footballing superstar but the treatment of him by the club is ghastly. Chaos behind the scenes.
  13. So is that ยฃ30k a week offer for Travis from Derby? Cos if so, bloody hell.

  18. As is always the case, how much you spend is only part of the equation. Ensuring the signings integrate into (and improve) the team is at least as important.
  19. Today
  20. Ah yes, that well known tactic of going 1-0 and then sitting back. That's never bitten a team in the rear. The fact of the matter is, there was v. little between us and WBA last week. This talk of them "ripping us apart" or "being happy to sit back and see out the game" are just silly. Look, I'm as negative as the next fan (moreso when it comes to our owners), but it's not as doom and gloom on the pitch as many are making out. Barring a rash of injuries I think we'll just about be ok this season - I'd be more confident in saying that if we sign an actual RW. I'm very bleak about our long term prospects, but I try not to worry about that too much.
  21. He's a better golfer than he is a GK then.
  22. I think it needs someone to come in and agree to keep the audit of their finances hush-hush. Takes a brave investor to do that - and I'm also not sure how legal that is! Failing that, yes we're looking to the Indian Govt to force them to sell. It's a ridiculous situation.
