  1. Past hour
  2. I have a feeling Miller might be seen as a RB and cover for CB. Would make sense and doesn’t overload. For the record, I am fairly sure VI is transitioning us into a 343. I’ve suspected it before, and he defo had his most successful stint as a manager playing 3 at the back. But when you look at the signings it’s pretty clear to me. De Neve and Alebosu are wing backs. The recent interview on the LT confirmed it. McLaughlin is a LCB and Miller it would appear is a RCB. Plus, we’re now devoid of any true wingers. Toth Miller. Hyam. Mclaughlin Alebiosu. Trav. Sonny. De Neve Kargbo. Yuki. Cantwell Incoming…..
  3. One and the same unfortunately. Pululu isnt coming here in a million years. Not confirmed until he's holding the shirt up, and even then it's probably 50/50. Also he's injured, so we won't be seeing him for a while, he might be a good player and fit but would rather someone come in who could hit the ground running, we seem incapable of that though.
  4. Another club with momentum and the fans just can’t get enough of it. Nobody is interested in buying us though, we’d be the next Bury Morecambe.
  5. Mercers 'transfer info' is the modern day team talk off teletext for those old enough to remember 🤣 Interestingly, or annoyingly depending on your interests, transfer news from inside the club has dried up since loose lips Waggott went, or stepped down to whatever job he's doing at present.
  6. Everything that has been said & written (now that Jackson has clarified his earlier waffle) implies that the 2 or 3 is before any outgoings the 2 is apparently an attacking midfielder & a right winger (I am assuming Baradji is seen as one of these) the possible 3rd being a centre back, which they by all accounts have not yet decided upon if they need or not. Although I suspect that in true Venkys style, because Miller can also play at centre back, they will no longer be looking for a centre back With any further outgoings meaning that number is added to (eg Miller from Hibs to replace Brittain)
  7. Not sure if already mentioned but Brum have, unsurprisingly, sold their initial allocation so will have over 7k at Ewood now they've been given more. Combined with sparsely populated home ends the noise will be quite horrific with THAT accent bellowing out 🥲
  8. Today
  9. Or as long as they get their huge backhanders they're happy.
  10. I wouldn’t be too sure. League one starts this weekend and perhaps they thought, we had already got there.
  11. It was the same account. Disgusting really.
  12. Yesterday
  13. They clearly took ages to sort a match out which sums up the lack of competence around the club. But theres no way that they didnt realise that there was a week gap.
  14. Mercer has a habit of regularly saying that x player is about to go. Throw enough mud and all that. Any nonsense about Derby has not been proven just because he is going to Boro. It was a wild guess and nothing that has happened backs it up in anyway. His exit has been inevitable since he refused to play V Stanley, it wouldnt take a rocket scientist to predict that it would be soon and in this case, Mercer guessed the wrong club If anyone believes his transfer gossip especially based on his track record, thats as gullible as suggesting last week that Brittain might sign a new deal.
  15. He's not Polish, assuming you mean Pululu? No way he is coming here. He is at least a level above if not 2. Shame, would have liked to have seen him here but that would mean delivering the excitement...
  16. I considered Brittain gone a while ago, so I'm glad they've moved to actually try and replace him. Signing a big, physical international at a good age as a replacement I can't really complain at. What I can complain about is that this summer we're still in the green. Our sales out weight our buys so any talk of a budget etc... is absolute bullshit. They need to put their hands in their pockets and bring in some attacking talent, specifically on the right and a number 10.
  17. I don't think you've read what Mercer initially said? He said that Brittain will be gone this week and Derby are leading the way? You yourself say football changes all the time. So in this instance Mercer is right, Brittain will be gone, Boro have popped them to him? On the other points - he said we were signing 2 players and Brittain would sign an extension. We signed 1, and the other 'failed' his medical. As you say - football changes all the time. Brittain must have been closed to signing a new deal.
  18. Eustace's record before he left was 2 wins from 11 games.
  19. Mercer, just accept he isnt going to Derby like you said they were leading the race. They haven't put another bid in. Boro did. Why is the Derby's bid? Nowhere in sight. Derby's bid was lowering than Boro. It was only the week before the Stanley game he was signing a new contract here. More stories than Roald Dahl Mercer
  20. So you’ve gone from ‘Well he was training with rovers today’ to ‘I don’t know’… that’s some turn around after posting something as fact to actually admitting you don’t have a clue. Unusually (as I usually argue with him) I’ve got to back Mercer up a bit. He didn’t say Brittain was off to Derby, he said on Monday that derby were leading the way, quite a different statement. You’ve had a bit of a shocker all round Chaddy lad.
  21. You’re right, it was defeat away at Portsmouth during that dreadful run. Makes no difference really, it was the death knell of our season.
  22. You are correct. I think the problem was someone dropped a bollock with the scheduling of friendlies and Rovers suddenly realised they had a gap of 2 weeks between Spain and WBA which resulted in a lot of last minute scraping about.
  23. The facts are Chaddy: You said Brittain was going nowhere My information wasn't wrong, in fact it was spot on! I was told he would leave the club by the end of the week and at the time I posted (Monday), Derby were leading the way. You say "Derby haven't even made another bid since over 3 weeks ago" - you are deluding yourself - why do you think I was told as of Monday morning 'Derby were leading the way'!?!? I think it's clear Brittain wants away and my understanding is Rovers wanted to 'lance the boil' sooner rather than later. I never said he was going to Derby - show me a post where I said that !?!? Armed with the Hackney money Middlesbrough upped the stakes and whilst it's now looking Brittain is going there, it aint over until the fat lady sings As far Brittain preferring Middlesbrough - what do you really expect him to indicate when it looks like Middlesbrough have landed a knockout blow? Brittain is hardly likely to say 'I'll sign for you but Derby was my preferred destination' Trouble is Chaddy, I think you are extremely gullible, you fail to read and understand other posts and you churn out erroneous stuff just to fit your own agenda.
  24. Wharton could have another season on the sidelines
  25. you can`t stand still in football, sooner or later our policy of selling/releasing our better players and replacing them with ones not as good will relegate us,everyone in the division is strenghtening, apart for sheff wed and hull,so we`de better be careful imo
  26. They're also quite keen on promoting the 'EFL' in the USA judging by recent social media activity. Conveniently that ties with the recent emergence of USA owned clubs in Wrexham and Birmingham. Perhaps if they spent less time helping certain clubs with their overseas growth and more time focusing on the ongoing destruction of clubs like Rovers, Morecambe and Sheffield Wednesday their competition might be better. They'll only intervene when Wednesday can't fulfil their fixtures, and that's only because of the damage it will do to their reputation and the hassle of sorting out the fixtures.
