  1. Past hour
  2. Wouldn't worry too much about our last game, something of a freak result. They had a comedy goalkeeper devoid of confidence and on the day ability and a manager so under fire you wonder just how longer he can remain in the job. We played well for once and on the day it all came together, can't hide from the fact (we were helped that) the opposition were so poor and just came apart the further we went ahead. Games before that for us were by and large disappointing. Couldn't win a game from 4 attempts and went out League Cup to Bromley, how embarrassing is that. We have lots of new players come in during the window but McKenna's system simply can't accommodate them or they'll be left on the bench with not all being able to feature even from a subs role. the relegation from the premier league hit us hard, we've sold out many of our most pivotal players since then including Delap, Broadhead and Hutchinson and brought in instead a number of unknowns who have yet to really establish themselves or make an impact on the Championship league. Would want to win tomorrow obviously but there's too many factors holding us back or that makes me doubtful. A draw up there would be satisfactory but we really need to be looking to win as we've lost a lot of ground on the promotion places even at such an early stage of a season such has been our poor start.
  3. Which player from the Rudy era will join as under 21 manager? Craig Conway perhaps
  4. I hope this leads to a more progressive and capable coach coming in. The U21s have been poor this season and majority of last. With the investment Category 1 requires, it needs a top coach.
  5. Anyone still waiting for tomorrow’s digital ticket to land in Inbox? Did someone forget to press “send”?
  6. I heard 'Sonny' shouted several times.
  7. In truth the under 21's have been disappointing this season and having seen them live several times so far he seemed to have been a bit subdued in the technical area. Probably the right decision although in fairness we don't know the circumstances.
  8. Good luck to him in the future but was increasingly thinking he was a dinosaur failing to achieve whatever the remit was at his level
  9. Mike Sheron to leave Rovers
  10. Holly Tree chippy just near the Tesco on Livesey Branch. It's got me wanting one now! 😆 This will get your chops watering:
  11. Is he stood next to Dean Whitehead, about 10 seconds in?
  12. Today
  13. I'm not sure it's ever happened at any club tbh. Let alone the day before a game (when weather reports would also be most accurate). But it's an interesting idea. Do the authorities even allow it at such short notice?
  14. It might happen at a club that gives a shit about the fans.
  15. Not sure if this was mentioned anywhere, but Jack Vale has found a new club in League 1
  16. One more question - can we buy on the day to see how the weather develops? Ive noticed the forecasts seem increasingly pessimistic in recent years and then it turns out a bit better. I checked the website and it doesn't say https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/september/17/ticket-news--rovers-v-ipswich-town/
  17. I wonder if in this day and age the clubs should be able to move the game by a day if the weather looks truely horrific and give everyone a better chance of seeing it. Could be better to move it to Sunday especially with away fans travelling 8+ hours. But i guess a logistical nightmare rearranging staff, police etc.
  18. I haven't had a John Bull in ages where do you think the best one is available
  19. What's the policy if it gets called off? Full refund or do you just get a ticket for the rearranged game?
  20. Beg to differ. Dolan was slow enough for Championship opposition to cover up if he got past the first man - which he frequently did - but almost never beat the covering player. And yes Barcelona were garbage at St James' Park, Liverpool didn't need a 96th minute dingle lucky moment to beat Atletico and Arsenal weren't given a 70 minute chasing at the San Mames while BBD's alma mater weren't the best side at the Tottenham Stadium for 80 minutes. The Mallorca outfit Dolan's heroics helped to beat looked well capable of dispatching any club in the Championship this season while I am sure you would feel rock solid on a bet that no Liga side would reach the last 4 of any European competition come April 2026...
  21. canned sound? But good luck to Bucko- he will bee far happier (and gazillions wealthier) there than not making the matchday 20 at Ewood.
  22. It certainly looked that way. I can’t say as I blame him.
  23. Let's hope so, I haven't seen a game since Norwich at home, with the international break.
