  1. Past hour
  2. I know how you felt with how the whole transfer was handled Tony and fully agree. It is about as shocking as it gets, how we threw this away and how we treated not only a superb talent, but a Rovers fan and from a Rovers supporting family. One other huge thing to say, not the slightest sign of him refusing to sign a contract, like many before him. That ensured Rovers at least got something for him, despite it being the steal of the century for Palace. The fans and the Wharton family did not deserve to be let down like this and Pasha should have been immediately handed his notice, with the comments he made in the fans forum. No wonder he wanted the real version of the minutes hidden.
  3. On the face of it I don't think this is the worst idea they have come up with. However the timing is ridiculously naive and has panic written all over it. The big question from me is why this wasn't available during the summer. With four losses at home so far it's going to be another embarrassment for our club when the take up is negligible.
  4. When you're playing Football Manager you can download tactics to plug and play - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. It's more rewarding to develop your own tactic and style, but if you're struggling then downloaded tactics can at least give you some idea of how the game engine works. Managers like Ange and Amorim are essentially the real-life equivalent of an FM player who downloaded a tactic, it worked once and so they use it all of the time, unable to change it even if it doesn't work because they don't really understand the game itself particularly well. No modern manager should have one style & shape that they are anchored to come hell or high water. It should be an instant red flag to any managerial recruitment team.
  5. I thought ‘changing habits and schedules of modern fans’ was a nice touch.
  6. Howard Kendal, Gordon Lee
  7. Tuchel need to pick Wharton in the squad
  8. ‘The flexi season ticket allows full flexibility - supporters can attend one home match or all 17’ That would be one very expensive way to attend only 1 game (or 2 or 3 or 4…) People will need to know they can/want to attend a fair proportion of the matches for them to even consider this to be good value for money.
  9. Flexi tickets are a good idea in principle, this isnt thought through. Why not just £150 (anniversary) pick any 9 games ? Works out same as a full season ticket per game at the £16.50 they touted. At this rate 9 games would be £26 and this gets more expensive the less you can make, which kind of undermines the flexibility aspect, doesn't seem great value for the upfront investment.
  10. The truth is they've all been poor managers and it's hard to say which has been worst, though Ismael could yet prove us wrong. Watched Rovers get tonked 4-0 at West Ham under Iley and we were awful, one of the worst performances I've seen from a Rovers team. He also gets my vote
  11. He was bad, believe me. A disaster from day one. He got my vote without me having to think about it. Replacing Dave Wagstaffe with an over the hill John Aston - unbelievable!
  12. Today
  13. I can’t imagine how bad Iley must have been to take a vote ahead of Ince.
  14. The timing of it is rather bad but no surprise. Why not in summer and market it as a one of 150 year celebration offer, limit it to 500 in each of the lower tier areas first come first served. Create a bit of supply/demand trickery in the hope they are snapped up quickly. Most who buy full ST's would still buy them i doubt it would've impacted that too much and we'd probably be about a thousand people better off per game. As it is they'll be lucky to shift a 100 then they'll scrap it next season and say pointless. Only club in England that expects to increase ticket sales for a relegation battle.
  15. 50 mile an hour winds forecast should finish any chance of the game going ahead
  16. Stoke isn't too far away so i assume they'll leave any decision and panic until about 10 AM tomorrow. Anyway in his latest cost cutting exercise Pasha hired a wet suit and a bar and sent a member of the catering staff crawling up the drain with the sharp pole to poke away at any potential blockage up there. Lanes for Drains wanted £600 but hes done it for 50 quid.
  17. Loftus-Cheek and Henderson in but Wharton not lol. I give up with Tuchel’s selections
  18. Sergio Peter, David Yelldell, Sebastien Pelzer and Javi de Pedro, just to confuse everybody, Rovers fans included.
  19. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/october/03/save-over--150-with-a-new-flexi-season-ticket-/ Flexi season ticket announced. Pay £150 upfront, and then £10 per game that you want to attend. I'm sure these will fly off the shelves.
  20. I can guarantee all this would result in is an AI generated press release stating their long-term commitment to the club.
  21. Yeah, that's the more likely scenario, I agree. Someone got a photo of the outfall from the stadium before kick off against Ipswich, i'm sure. Be interesting to see what it's like now, compare the 2
  22. The only reason some people thought Adam was casual or wasteful was because he was streets ahead in terms of knowing where the ball should go and players should be compared to his teammates. I sometimes wonder if some scouts wouldn't commit to him because they didn't recognise that.
  23. I can only think Palace have asked for him not to be selected for these friendlies.
  24. Funnily enough, detailed plans of a Mount Rushmore style sculpture were suggested and shared with the club as part of the 150th anniversary plans but ultimately didn't go anywhere. Based on the historical angle and focusing on the birth of the club (and our subsequent impact on the sport), 'Founding Fathers' was suggested as a working title, as was the inclusion of John Lewis, Arthur Constantine, Bob Crompton and Fergus Suter. I can't comment as to whether this plan will still come to fruition, but I very much doubt it.
  25. Fortunately, most people can see through this now.
  26. I wonder if this is the right moment for the Coalition to issue an open letter calling on the Venkys to finally back the club, now that financial restrictions have been lifted. With no excuses left, we expect visible commitment: come to Ewood, invest significantly in January, and give the team the financial (and leadership) support it needs to avoid relegation. Realistically, we know this won't happen but if the response is silence, that in itself will speak volumes and confirm their lack of genuine interest in the club.
  27. Exactly Tyrone. He can split a defence with one touch from deep midfield. Not many can do that.
