  1. Past hour
  2. If not signing anyone meant relegation then venkys suhail gestede and Ismael and all those bastards fucked off, I'd take not signing anyone
  3. I have always thought that waiting until the end of a sale period and picking up a piece of soiled tat that everyone has pored over and left their grubby fingerprints on that you can’t take back but got at a good price is a good strategy. Er…No.
  4. Not sure that Gudjohnsen can play the lone striker in Ismael's system, so I hope not. Think he would struggle without Ohashi's work rate alongside him
  5. Nothing against Ismael personally and i think he does his best and has genuinely suffered on the injury front but shit happens. However i do not believe he or his style of play and team selection is in any way suitable for what we need to stay up. Like JDT it's contributing to our downfall because he knows no other way hence using all the ready made excuses weekly. Always remains a chance we'll just click and have a little winning run but it's going to be very tight this season and the prospect of starting with him in league 1 is horrendous. Maybe that's all part of plan B though, i wouldn't trust this Rovers board as far as i could throw it.
  6. Triggers memories of Martin Dhalin….
  7. Sounds like it will be more of a 3 up front (potentially 4-3-3) which explains the signing a bit more. Jorgensen and Mori competing on the right St Pauli lad and Kargbo / De Neve on the left. Gudjohnsen, Ohashi and Cadamateri competing for the striker spot. Sounds a lot better than trying to force these players to play up top - Jorgensen looks like a wide forward all day long as opposed to a striker in a 2.
  8. Couldn’t agree more every interview is different - goal posts change and he tries to justify it. Said publicly after the Jorgensen deal there was no pressure on the recruitment team time was on their side an was happy with the backing he was getting sakd last week wanted another body in for hull now today saying working very hard things change we are ‘hoping’ to get some done for monday he is the yes man they have wanted for years and it’s us who suffer
  9. We're signing up the lads from OMC. How bizarre, how bizarre.
  10. Dire, absolutely bloody dire! As expected we are scraping the barrel. They do indeed give not a toss whether we take the drop.
  11. A lot of large projects got binned after Rovers got relegated which to me is no coincidence. I'd wager a lot of the money they committed to propping up the mess they'd made was earmarked for those projects with the club and Prem brand being the chief promotional tool. That's why they turned up here and it could've worked to everybody's advantage had they not been in bed with who they were. So when people say it hasn't cost them anything they are wide of the mark. Their massive expansion plans were well and truly ruined along with our status as a club.
  12. This guy has gone from being panicked in the last week in December of needing to sign players for a match in the first week in January to not being overly arsed in the last days of the month. He has 100% been told up or down he is fine for his job.
  13. The Byrds - Wasn’t Born To Follow
  14. Not a lot going til Monday then !
  15. I've had this thought plenty of times. If they were intentionally trying to sabotage the club and make the fans suffer, I'm genuinely not sure what else they could realistically do. Almost every step has been either criminally incompetent or downright malicious.
  16. John McNamee and Walter Joyce are two that come to mind. McNamee was the hardest of hard men and literally saved the club from dropping into the fourth division.
  17. We're almost certainly getting a panic-buy striker on Monday because even they must realise we're in big trouble if we don't. Question is, will it be a Cauley Woodrow or an Emmanuel Dennis? Maybe if we beat Hull tomorrow they'll think we've turned a corner and don't need one, maybe a gubbing from the Tigers will focus their minds. I've no faith in the process either way.
  18. Midweek! Early KO (as no floodlights) to allow for extra time. I don’t remember which day it would be, but they did experiment with Thursdays at one time because it was half day closing for shops in Blackburn back then.
  19. Today
  20. Zero chance we were close to signing Cleary. And he is not even a striker.
  21. Standard stuff then A 'very challenging' window for 'many reasons' - has there ever been a January where we just get the job done and stop making excuses. Not our fault - blame other clubs asking for too much money or players getting injured and scuppering our plans. Nothing to do with our own planning or more importantly pathetic budgets. And to effectively claim that O'Riordan - not good enough to begin with - is an incoming is ridiculous.
  22. Jerry Yates would have been a better signing than the names we’re being linked to. Bad year so far for him but I think a change could be what he needs .
  23. O’Riordan counts as a signing obviously
  24. Has anyone mentioned Mark Hughes? Gent off the pitch, but a tough bugger on it. Shearer could really handle himself, Batty was a thug at times, loved watching him. Andy Todd had a screw loose. Killer Keeley took no prisoners on the park.
  25. Surely not wearing shorts is at least a booking offence! As well as being arrested for indecent exposure of course. Although the lack of balls would make him an acceptable signing to Gestede.
  26. it`s transfer window groundhog day, even the venkyclappers must realise the fact that lies, bull**** and unrealistic targets have resurfaced for the 4th year in a row
  27. If the names from previous windows were good enough, no one would mind us recycling the lists...
