No need to worry about what some daft potato pushers say. They're obsessed, like so many of their fans. They aren't even PNE fans either..... -

Todd Cantwell - is he off?
MarkBRFC replied to ruggles1995's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Cantwell will play for us again. He's on what, 44 league appearances? I can see another 4 or 5 appearances in over the next 6 weeks before he hits the magic 50, before another mystery injury see's him out again, and then sold in Jan. In the summer I thought it was to early for anyone to really take an interest in Cantwell, I think in January though there will be suitors as he will be a bargain for anyone with any real ambition to break into that top 6 and try and get promotion. -

Wouldn't take any notice of SpudBros, they are all Liverpool fans (genuinely not the usual piss taking). They have just seen an opportunity at there local club and jumped on it, now pretending that they have always been North End fans and that Liverpool are just there "prem team". They look like really decent blokes to be fair but I wouldn't take any notice of anything they have to say regarding football. -
Current batting pair doing well. Need to break this partnership.

150th Anniversary kit/celebrations

Does anyone know how the Rovers Museum we were promised is getting on? Rovers* put in two National Lottery bids (the 2nd I am told was via the Community Trust) but were turned down. The agreed fallback position was a dedicated museum space in a room in the Darwen End. Perhaps Plan D was a couple more display cases that only the prawn sandwich brigade 🥟 and those on ground tours get to see? It will be interesting to hear how much we have been let down 🧐 *why would the BIG Lottery Fund give a grant to a limited company owned by Indian big ‘hitters? - Today

Tell you what, as bad as our batting was, our bowling has been superb so far.

Just the occasion instagram post which feels slightly cryptic -
It's perhaps just a foible of mine, but I'm literally reading every thread, then it's saying I've got an unread post that I've already read... Also, it keeps defaulting to showing me the thread of the 1992-2000 nostalgia one. I love Kenny Dalglish, but I feel like I see that photo of him and Ray Harford 700 times a day, ha.

Type of game Pears drops an absolute bollock, especially with a cobbled together defence in front of him. Not sure where they're at injury wise themselves but can't be as dire as us so they'll definitely fancy it. Could always end up being a drab post international break game though like they ofter are. 1-1, and I would take that. -

Be lucky to get a point from this. An early goal from them will see us on the back foot for the rest of game. That being said the last few games we went behind we did show some fight to a certain degree though too late. Need to score first. That'll be key to even coming close to winning or drawing this fixture Hoping for 2-1 win More chance of a 2-0 loss. Will take a 1-1 draw. -
17 wickets fell on day 1 of the India v Aus test match in Perth last year. Don't throw the towel in just yet.

Let’s see how England bowl but that’s a pathetic start to the series.
-
Been up since 2:00am watching the Ashes. Starc bowling really well in the absence of Cummins and Hazlewood. Duckett, Pope and Brook all got in and looked comfortable to then get out against the run of play. Crawley was awful shot selection which we’re all used to by now. Should have even dropped a while ago. Root got squared up to a great ball, not much he could have done.
-
Not a great start to this Ashes. No shock that Crawley had a poor total, but we will need more from Stokes and Root this series than this morning.
-
No, but a better argument would be that we could point to several Rovers' legends who never won our POTY. Ryan Nelsen never won POTY, but Andy Todd did. So Andy Todd was the better defender? I know this isn't your argument, but using POTY as some kind of indicator of how good a player was is so dumb. Scholes is light-years ahead of where Wharton is now. Wharton will probably close that gap and maybe (there's a very slim chance) could become a better player (he certainly won't have a 'better' career). The one thing Wharton could realistically achieve is being a better and more important player for England. Scholes was criminally misused and underused by England.

This will be an interesting test of transfer policy. Rudy's cheap obscure European buys and bad squad planning vs Preston's solid championship experience and smart Premier League loans. I think I know who my money's on........ but would love to be proved wrong. -
Todd Cantwell - is he off?
Uddersfelt Blue replied to ruggles1995's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
It would be helpful for the fans if we had an interview with Cantwell so we could hear the issues from the horses mouth. Has anyone heard a dicky bird from him in the time he has been injured? If his injury is a smokescreen for financial issues with the player then that is not acceptable and if VI is complicit then he can do one. Getting sick of all this “new project” stuff each season with the fans being fed a bunch of promises and lies. -
