  1. Past hour
  2. Probably a good enough assessment to get on Rudyโ€™s shortlist.
  3. Yep, how can it be advanced talks when you can't afford the fee.... Waggott heading to a slightly early retirement isn't enough either. Suhail Pasha OUT!
  4. Rudy: Hello! Weโ€™re interest in your fine defender, Modibo Sagnan. Montpellier: Ah yes, Modibo! Solid player. Are you looking to make an offer? Rudy: We are indeed! So... can we have him? Montpellier: Of course, if the price is right! What are you thinking? Rudy: Hereโ€™s the twist - what if, and hear me out... you just give him to us? Montpellier: What? Like... for free? Rudy: Think of the wage savings! The changing room space... Montpellier: Yeah okay no. Not gonna happen, goodbye. Rudy: Wait wait wait! Montpellier: *deep sigh* What now? Rudy: I was joking! Classic Rudy, right? Letโ€™s get serious - itโ€™s time to advance with this. Montpellier: Oh hahaha, you sneaky little rascal. Alright, alright - letโ€™s talk! Rudy: Hahaha... perfect. Now tell me this: Do you... like Pringles?

  6. Exactly so, I'd say he was popular. There are fans who disparage him but rarely during a game. More on discussion groups like this one---you know who you are!!
  7. Just something the club told him to make it look like something is happening. I imagine we might have enquired, certainly don't think it was anywhere near "advanced talks" though.
  8. Adam is going to have to get completely fit to get the recognition he deserves. He completed the full 90 minutes just 3 times in the Premier League last season. Being at Palace didn't prevent Henderson and Eze from being selected and had he been fit Guehi would probably have been selected as well.
  9. Also bizarre to report "advanced stages" as a local journalist and then not follow up on the story with any kind of update.
  10. He's out of contract - albeit aged 22 - so the fee probably goes to a tribunal.
  11. Jade Jones wouldn't be terrible. I can imagine he would frustrate a lot of our fans, he can be a big threat because he's absolutely lightening quick but can be wasteful in front of goal. For those who want more pace in the team, he's arguably the quickest player in this country. The sort of player this lot could make a fortune on if they can get consistent end product out of him. It's the sort of signing we should be making in my opinion... A good age and a lot of potential. The issue is getting him at a reasonable price from Posh and they're always (rightly so) tough to deal with.
  12. That would be even worse for the marketing, their old ground is now Hanley's main shopping centre. At least a garden and a wall and some trees is better than the benches outside the food court.
  13. Problems with that began just after takeover on instruction by the agents who were employed to run the show looking for personal gain bagging Mrs D the wage bill must be cut. I'd say they were responsible for the asset stripping when they set their intentions in motion of selling everybody and bringing in cheaper replacement whilst garnering their %. Idiots in Pune signed all this off instead of listening to Allardyce, Williams etc, just when they should have been using their wealth and takeover to build the club up again they all began pulling it apart. So the asset stripping tag has stuck and they hold ultimate responsibility for that even if now it doesn't really fit their agenda.
  14. A very good point I hadnโ€™t considered. ๐Ÿ‘
  15. No surprise Wharton pulled out of 21's. Firstly, health always has to be number one priority. He took one almighty whack and as @Tyrone Shoelaces said, the way he came back on to the pitch was a clear indication all was not well. Head trauma, no matter how it's suffered, can have devastating future consequences - it finished Matt Jansen. Secondly, I think it's an insult that Tuchel has overlooked him for a second consecutive time. Just maybe, Adam needs to be with a Liverpool, Arsenal etc to get the recognition his talent so richly deserves.
  16. Who cares at this point? It could have been ยฃ300m, none of it would have been reinvested. The worst thing that can happen now is he moves to a bigger club and we get a juicy sell on fee to keep the wolves from the door for another 6 months.
  17. I believe so, has it been proven otherwise?
  18. Jobe Bellingham is on his way to dortmund for 23.5 million yet Adam Wharton is twice the player but we only got 18 million
  19. Again, wait until he plays for a club with a "bigger" following. If he think's what he gets, even online here is stick then I pray for him if he ends up at one of the Scottish two, or a Sheffield Utd, Norwich etc.
  20. Nice and imaginative from our top brass. Now Everton away, that would have been a good chance to see a new ground!
  21. Stanley away and Everton at Ewood added for pre season https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/june/03/everton-to-visit-ewood/
  22. Heard Rovers keen on Ryan Cooney (right back) and Ricky Jade Jones (striker). Sounds about our level of ambition.
  23. Talking about online.
  24. I'm no fan of the Venkys and their ownership but the often made claim of asset stripping makes no sense given they're estimated to be at a loss of ยฃ200m. Had they taken over, sold anything of worth and then sold the club to turn gain an overall profit, then yes, that would have been asset stripping.
