				150th Anniversary kit/celebrations

Just had a quick look on the Rovers site to see how the crowd was shaping up for Saturday by seeing where tickets were available and sadly the £18 tickets don't seem to have put a dent in what will be pretty much a bog-standard attendance for us these days. We're a husk. When we played Wolves in 2000, we were in the same division we're in now, except we were trying to compete to get out of the division and were run by competent people. The argument about it being the Jack Walker era can't be levelled because by that point the great man had passed on. The attendance for that game was 20,400. I'm guessing Wolves at the time would have brought about 2k? What do we think for Saturday? 15,000 'officially' announced but nearer 11 or 12k? Sad -

The galling thing at the moment, is that quite a few of the remaining fans seem not to care that the piss is being taken, and go along with it. -
Fair play Ian Herbert but then just who the hell is responsible for making the decision on that all white aberration that went against all advice and idea? The Rovers pictoral timeline outside the Stadium taken down, the Blues Bar gutted of its memorabilia and now this utter bollox...I swear its like they are taking the piss out the fans.

Best I could find - 1891-92 - Ordnance Survey data showing the area where there was free space. Seems to make a lot of sense based on comments/diagrams further up on the thread especially over the confusion that it went up to Revidge Road. This map shows that it did extend up to there but based on other bits and bobs, you could easily see the ground being further down towards Granville Road/Cheltenham Street (as it was back then). -
Or indeed anywhere on the Revidge Run! Except for the Alexandra there can't be many at all up Revidge / Corpy Park / Pleckgate / Lammack these days. Royal Oak and Hare & Hounds have both gone of late. @rog of the rovers excellent work by your uncle!

And yet, we will still beat them. -
Yea these look like they could be the ones. All completely fascinating. Would be willing to do a Sunday walk with a few of us to geek it out woollen Bob hats and all. Always an excuse for a pint albeit not at the Dog Inn...

Chris Samba cost us less than £0.5M Did Ryan Nelsen cost a fee? In my head he cost about £25K, but everything on line suggests he was a free

Aside from players arriving on a free and then their market value being X, I'm struggling to think of many former Blackburn players who arrived on a small fee and is probably worth 10x that amount in a few months. Great signing so far and to think there is still SO much more he can learn and improve on. I just hope we're already sorting out that contract extension otherwise he might leave for less than what we paid 😂 -

We are 4 days off and they still haven't announced 11 players for the legends team. At this rate if Danny Batth doesn't get on in the main game, they'll probably ask him to play in it. Even the names announced are lacking in real star-quality. Also, if the "legends" game kicks off 45 to 60 minutes after the final whistle, what are they planning to fill the gap? They are opening the bars, but you still can't take alcohol to your seats during the 45 to 60 mins gap. -
I live in Southampton and asked my Saints supporting friend what design he would do for Rovers 150 year anniversary. The first thing he said was "obviously, blue and white halves..." and then he went on to talk about having names of legends stitched into the shirt somewhere, mentions of the Lancashire rose. When I showed him the yet to be confirmed design, he just shook his head. My friend knows nothing about Blackburn yet he got it MORE right than the club. It's gone past the angry, frustrated and disbelief laughing phase. This is disrespecting everyone who has followed or represented Blackburn in the past 150 years.

I'd lost track of the fact that the 150 game is this weekend coming, such is the dearth of info coming from the club and my indifference to it all these days. Even on the club's own web site, there's little mention. It should be headline news, plastered all over the show. What a damp squib it will be. It really is poor, a disgrace, but not expected I suppose. They really are a bunch of charlatans. -
Minutegate 2 in full flow Credibility through the window , I didn't attend but have seen a copy. Absolutely horrendous the censoring, but also adding things completely untrue and talking about supporters who didn't attend and minuting it, despite it not being a wider forum discussion. Rudy certainly not learning any lessons, My question to him next time I engage is . 1. Is it normal practice to half the value of a player you're selling within 5 seconds of a phone call, whilst suggesting hes not playing cos we lose when he does. 😀
