  1. Past hour
  2. December. That's usually pretty rainy.
  3. So as predicted the rearranged fixture will be taking place midweek on 2nd December 2025. Why on earth a game cancelled in September needs to wait the best part of 3 months to be replayed I am not so sure but hey, a few weeks before Xmas, dismal weather, should ensure a low turnout. Could have been played in October. Rovers also saying that ticket holders will pay 'half price' for the rearranged fixture which I find odd. In most previous examples surely it would be free entry to those who bought for the first game? Can't imagine the Ipswich lot will be too happy about paying twice but welcome to Venky Rovers. Maybe they'll bring their usual 1000 rather than the tourists who turned up for the cancelled game.
  4. ESPN: Regulator says that bad owners may be forced to sell It's ostensibly about Sheff Wednesday. As Venkys have "always paid the bills" would they fall into this category?
  5. You might appreciate these…I’ve never bowled better in my life…😆
  6. It was a re-gen of Loadsamoney…
  7. Today
  8. Is it wise with our flimsy squad, last thing we want our injuries.
  9. Coventry have averaged 3 goals a game in there opening 9 league and cup matches. A tall order this one, I'll be surprised if we get anything out of this one. There were promising signs against Stoke. Hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves against Coventry, and get something from the following 2 home games.
  10. I understand Rovers are playing the Dingles in a friendly on Friday morning at their training ground. Hopefully some of the fringe players will get some game time.
  11. It was mentioned recently on here that Joseph, because of his size was more likely to physically dominate opposition players as he came through the system but last night (in the second half) both of Orient's centre halves were the equal of him physically. I thought he coped really well against them both. He does have a strange gait and at times looks unathletic but I have been told he is really quick which along with his physicality is a real asset.
  12. Read the comments section: 'they are to be cherised and appreciated' No Rovers fan in their right mind would make a stupid statement like that.

  14. Joseph looked a little clumsy at times but he's definitely a handful. Batty needs to be on loan for me and 21s football isn't what he needs. Powell always impresses me and is tireless in his work ethic. Certainly one to watch. The lad in goals looks like a real presence at 19. Not sure why we don't see more of him?
  15. I'd like to think anyone that likes to take in a random game on International weekends will go and watch there local non league club instead.

  17. Bo Diddley. - Before You Accuse Me
  18. Hence why i couldn't possibly say - it is mere speculation.
  19. At times it seemed as if we were playing with a 4-1-4-1 formation with Frank Vare being the holding player. In fairness, I thought the system was quite fluid and Powell was given a fairly free role. I've always been a great fan of Powell from the first time I saw him with the Under-18s. He has pace and despite his frail build, he's as hard as nails. A really tough tackler and seems to have a football brain. At times Batty was popping up in a more central position when we were attacking and ended up being caught out of position when moves broke down. As you say, injuries to Dunn and Litherland have caused issues in selection, but that's the nature of the beast with Under-21 football. You rarely get the same eleven twice and we seem keen on switching players to play different roles.
  20. This is the mindset about everything at the club. Cheap wins, regardless of quality.
  21. Powell was playing wide on the left of a four. He was probably the pick of the bunch on the night. Isaac Dunn was there but in a boot - a broken foot I believe. Litherland is injured but I'm not sure what it is.
  22. A win, against a more than impressive Orient outfit, is welcome after recent results. However, if Orient's final ball had been better they could easily have got at least a point, even with ten men. I thought Brandon Powell was our best performer. He seemed to have a roving commission and his pace and movement was a delight to watch. Orient looked a very skilful outfit. Quick in attack, with one touch passes which left us struggling to keep up at times. A mixture of wayward shooting and a poor final pass let them down. Honour looked confident in goal and made some decent saves. He's a big lad but gets down well and seems to have good judgement. Batty continues to be something of an enigma. He ought to be a dominant figure at this level, with his experience, but at times looked disinterested and petulant. He went missing when Orient scored and in my view needs a loan move for the second half of the season if he is to develop into the player we want him to be. Up front, Joseph proved a handful in the first half before tiring after the interval. He's still very raw but there does look to be potential there.
  23. On Saturday 14 games from Leagues 1 and 2 are being shown live at 3 pm. There are also two matches kicking off at 2 pm and 5.30 pm being shown live. During an international break lots a lot of PL and Championship followers used to take in a game or two at this level. They probably won't now
  24. Was Powell actually playing as a 10, and Stritch & Vare as defensive midfielders, as shown in the graphic? If so, it would possibly explain a lack of ability to control the game, Stritch & Vare look better further forwards to me, and Powell is a left back Quite often this season, Dunn seems to have been playing in central midfield by himself, with 2 more attacking midfielders ahead of him, now it looks like he is injured alongside Litherland, as neither have played in a few weeks
