  1. Past hour
  2. But of course this page is still blank
  3. Something has to give with this Axel signing. Travis or Tronstad are gone I'm sure of it.
  4. Sheff Utd flog Ahmedozdic for 15.6m to Feyernoord
  5. I don't think the government regulate the EFL as government interference in running football is against FIFA and UEFA rules. Also the local MP is not a member of the government.
  6. We all miss the bully boys Hughes era πŸ₯°
  7. Yeah so just rebuilding a team for a new head coach. I think we need to differentiate here what we mean by 'plan' as in a club plan to reset, invest and aim for something over a 3 year period versus a head coach just planning his team for the next 12 months after being handed half a squad due to exits. There is one but there certainly isn't the other, who would bet against another coach doing the same thing here by next summer ?
  8. Spoke about how we can't let what happened with Nyambe,Lenihen and Rothwell happen again and we needed to be more proactive with contracts . who did he tie down to ensure the same didn’t happen?
  9. Henriksson and Miller for reasons I don't even fully understand are signings I feel really positive about. Mainly because they seem like the types that hate to get beat, are physical & aggressive. You definitely need characters like that in the championship.
  10. Apparently, we want to send Batty out on loan, no idea why we signed him back up in the first place.
  11. When Broughton was appointed he spoke of the clubs plans and long term vision. Spoke about how we can't let what happened with Nyambe,Lenihen and Rothwell happen again and we needed to be more proactive with contracts . 12 months after Broughton and JDTs arrival that went out the window and here we are now having let our most experienced and better players get into their final year of their contracts. The only plan here is to spend as little as possible and hopefully put a squad together that won't get relegated
  12. That's exactly what it is and India isn't bothered as long as the hassle to them is limited to a couple of meetings per year and costs are kept to the bottom line. The malaise we had under Bowyer and a lot of TM's tenure backs this up where doing just enough was enough but that isn't ambitious enough for young head coaches hence the problems once they see how the club works. It's a complete gravy train though for a couple of directors and no doubt some advisers/agents.
  13. So the plan is to not even bother trying to tie down our key, proven Championship players. But instead to replace by players abroad for six figure fees. Suppose it is a plan of sorts. Isnt it 5 signings. Tavares, McLoughlin, De Neve, Miller, Alebiosu.
  14. Ocean Colour Scene - Foxy's Folk Faced
  15. When, not if One has already gone, & I would be astounded if either of the other 2 are here for the start of next season
  16. Jimi Hendrix- Foxy Lady
  17. We signed 6(soon 7) new players that fit the type of profile Ismael want, attributes that Ismael wanted like athleticism. Recruitment staff have players with our budget and we signed them. Gestede, Owen, Ismael plus Recruitment staff have been aligned. Sounds like a plan We have different players on shortlist if Brittain, Tronstad or Travis leave. Jackson confirmed this on his recent podcast
  18. There are EFL regulations about supporter consultations and what clubs should do. Sadly there are no teeth to these regulations and no penalties for clubs who fail to carry out what they should be doing.
  19. 750k rising to 1.5 million- outstanding deal imo. Well worth a risk and is sadly the market we are in. When you look at how much English players are going for in league 1/2 we cannot afford to buy anyone 😞
  20. Did that bit about his response to you, go in the original minutes? Hopefully it did, as it is typical of the attitude of some. The seem to forget that we know about certain things and how he can suggest you get your facts right on this, shows what he really thinks.
  21. A long throw, and a team of tall physical players. Hopefully we can Gueye on the receiving end of a few.
  22. That would be his "option" season too, I can already see how this plays out, he will get into the side around February 2027, have a really good end to the season before we fail to agree new terms with him, "Backed into a corner" again.
  23. Exactly. Rovers run on an operations mode. They plan 2 or 3 games ahead depending on the match schedule. Every non playing side staff member has a role and they carry that role out game after game with the only variable being the number of home and / or away tickets sold and the reputation of the visiting fans. It is a silo based operation. There is no cross departmental or cross role thinking as to how we can do things better or do things differently as to make the event more attractive to attract new or lapsed supporters to Ewood. The approach is far too safe. It allows staff to relax into the same old ways of working every home game rather than instil the need for innovative thinking. The only time the club were challenged to β€˜think outside of the box’ was the Fan Takeover days and even then some staff went into hiding and unhelpful mode. Some senior staff subsequently dissed the Fan Takeover days as being a waste of time as although we had significantly increased the attendance the ticket income was down due to ticket price cuts. They just don’t get it. It is all about the bottom line. They do not have the slightest clue how to increase attendances over time (only the fans can help them achieve that). Sorry I rephrase it as they don’t want to know.
  24. Definitely. I'm really pleased with the physicality that Val seems to be bringing. I've felt we've been a bit soft for a few years now. Miller described Val as "an intense guy who knows what he wants" in his interview on YouTube. I think he's trying to instil a tough no-nonsense attitude into the squad. He's also a bit of a big brick shithouse himself. Definitely wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of him. Really warming to him after that shaky start.
  25. So I would say go to the people who regulate the EFL, which I would think is the government, so the local MP.
