From previous sales over the past 2 seasons the expenditure is pitiful. It is not sustainable to sell your best players constantly and not reinvest in similar.

Correct, he’s a right sided attacking midfielder. Hes not a winger, which confused me originally, but he is a perfect inverted forward. I actually agree that we need more attacking options. I’m just piecing together the thinking in these signings against the way VI wants to play. Its just my opinion.

This the club that couldn't be arsed with programmes any more because it was all just too much effort, and one look around Ewood Park tells us all we need to know about the levels of pride around the place. When basic maintenance and cleanliness are too much effort and cost then celebrating an anniversary forget about it. At best we are going to get the usual twitter videos with a dozen 'legends' and it sounds like they might have commissioned a one-off kit (why you'd do it for a one-off game rather than the whole season I don't know). I firmly believe it is Pasha getting rattled easily that has caused this situation with the minutes being delayed and edited. He will not want an official version of events to be out in the public domain, if it paints him a bad light.

For all the written down changes in formation, and talk about "creating overloads" and moving "in between the lines" we would still be desperately short of attacking threat with a player who has mainly played left back at his previous club on one side and a central midfielder on the other. I still think that we will sign a right winger, whether he will be any good is another question. Doesnt have to be an out and out old fashioned winger, but we need someone who can give us an extra goal threat and ideally some pace and directness, rather than shoehorning in a central midfielder. I am not sure what the exact plan will be for Henriksson. He is a midfielder who seemingly offers a goal threat so maybe cover for Cantwell, but also seems to be someone who gets stuck in so maybe an alternative to Baradji and either eventual or immediate replacement for Travis. Either way, signing a central midfielder to play on the right seems a bit of a stretch.

ZERO chance we spend anything more than 1m on a player. Likely ever again. A marquee signing would also require marquee wages. That is also not happening.
