  1. Past hour
  2. To be honest in terms of individual playing ability I am not really seeing a big gap from what we have this year to last year. We could go back a year and find posts from you and others saying we were getting relegated with Travis, Dolan, Brittain, Hyam etc. The difference is imo 1) a huge volume of players are brand new and learning the country, club and system, 2) none of those players bar McCloughlin and TGH have any championship experience, 3) the manger is not as good as Mowbray, Eustace and JDT 4) we lack a consistent reliable defence and central midfield partnership Essentially I am not really sure the quality of the incoming players is the main issue, its turnover and loss of experience. A lot of football is not won on ability, its won on being organised, bonded as a team and aligned to a plan.
  3. Were you feeling particularly “ Blue “ yesterday ?
  4. sidnei is a bag of shite, one good half against bradford when he looked quite useful now he`s plumbing the depths of uselessnss de neve the championship is out of his ability zone henrikson not seen much of him so i`ll give defer my judgement morishita he`s been found out,was terrible on saturday and last night, does`nt take long for a decent defender to shut him down gudjohnson,to early to judge him after 1 game miller, decent defender who`s a full back and should`nt be playing the centre of defence alaibusiu the one shining star, looked class last night,he`ll be sold in january
  5. Brenda Holloway - Every Little Bit Hurts
  6. Its called being loyal to your club you support and sticking by the club whether its the good times or the bad times.
  7. met office weather forecast is for sunshine and rainy during the game
  8. Another one of famous predictions. I do rate McLoughlin but I don't like 2 left footed at centre back. Some of those new signings aren't played much yet so maybe show some patience for once Mercer instead of over judgemental again. Its very clear why Morishita FFS, do some research and I didn't see you on here after Watford when he scored the winner, where were you, You only ever appears after losses but very rare after wins.
  9. if ever we needed the weather to stop us getting beat it`s this saturday😁,stoke are playing with a great tempo and are bang in form, two facets we definately ar`nt possesing
  10. You have to plan the team to address the issues which are.. 1) we give away sloppy goals as we lack a consistent well drilled defensive unit 2) we arent converting enough scoring chances. And only create them by taking lots of risks overcommiting players. 3) we lack leadership 4) we lack a competitive midfield And then you look at the squad and tbh i cant see any variation from the XI that played against Swansea (unless Wharton and Carter are fit) which makes any difference at all. We are in the "weeing with the willy we have" territory.
  11. I always say, the utmost respect you can have for something is to expect standards from it.
  12. Firstly I'd start Ohashi ahead of Gudjohnson until he proves himself as a sub. Kargbo all legs zero footballing knowledge. Cost us the game last night atleast attempt to look like you're trying. Alebiosu best player on the pitch. Shows intent amd runs the line well. You don't see many taking the ball off him and more often than not manages to get a cross in the box. We need to stop this fuckery on goal kicks if the idea is clipping it nearside to a winger in our own half it's 50/50 chance it's coming back toward the net whether by us or the other team. If you take a goal kick and fire it up the pitch if you lose it up there atleast it's away from goal and there's chance to win it back or you win it and start moving forward. Val seems to struggle in changing tactic we have such a linear narrative other teams just figure us out. Cantwell needs to just get on with it I'm my book refs never gonna change his mind I'd be more incline to give a penalty for the second one literally piggybacking until squashed flat. We can't keep relying on missed calls to win games.
  13. That's fair enough if people want to do that but at least try and do a decent job whilst you're here.
  14. Not sure id attach too much blame to Owen - he just gets a brief and has to work with it. Suhail and Gestede would have been the ones who went to Venkys and said they could make a competitive team on a radically reduced budget and sell our key players. But the fundamental dynamic is there are many fewer jobs in football than those who want them so if Gestede and Suhail walked away (not that they would) I am sure theyd find someone else who said they could do it. In a way its a good thing for it not to work as it hastens a reckoning and let's the efforts to push out Venkys build a bit of steam. If they fluked it again and we were competitive we'd just lose everyone once they proved themselves as we have already with JDT and Eustace. Its really all about the owners and their lack of engagement and planning. Getting bogged down in the individuals who are here is just a distraction. Ultimately we need new owners who have a vague sense of what it takes to be effective in the Championship and only a part of that is money.
  15. I'd take Brian, he'd take none of that shit and neither would you if.... Jerry?! JERRY! Get me Zantacs!!
  16. Just watched the game Yuk. I can forgive Kargbo losing the ball but no excuse for just giving up on it and strolling back. Long long season ahead. Alebiousi (sp) the only signing that looks worthwhile. Gudjohnson after two lively looking cameos offered little but I knew we had waited too long to start him, shouldnhave started game sfter his 2nd sub appearance. I am so tired if this self inflicted shit. All this was planned and executed by shysters in charge. Bottom by bonfire night
  17. I thought the same It all sounds very strange
  18. Today
  19. Hell be on lot more than 10k a week, at least double.
  20. Changing the centre back pairing every game is disastrous. Again if you've got Wharton and Carter on the books... you aren't letting a senior centre back leave without a like for like replacement, well other clubs that is - we didn't have one lined up and the deal should have been dependant on one. It was suicidal, reckless business without a care in the world for results and shock.... we are hardly winning any fixtures.
  21. Followed by the remnants of two hurricanes from the Caribbean and 85 mph winds.
  22. Yeh Ismael earned some credit due to a strong finish to the season, but that credits been used up fast and hes quickly going down hill in my book, not just because of crap results but also due to his general whingy attitude and his dubious closeness to gestede and Sunhail pissant Cant see him being replaced though unless gestede goes with him and a new chairman (or whatever you want to label them..) comes in to do whatever it was that waggot did
  23. The club are relying on retaining as many optimists as they can, so that they can carry on hoodwinking them, that they are doing a good job and carry on raking in the money. Crazy statements like, we have a better squad than last year and it is going to be an exciting summer, are two examples of the utter nonsense being spouted. It is very muck akin to the ridiculous claims that a certain manger used to make about the new Wayne Rooney and the new chris Smalling etc and look how that ended up. More people are fortunately now seeing through this and dare I say, even our resident optimist, might be less positive, if we are cut adrift my Christmas. It is all well and good backing certain things and remaining loyal to the cause, but when something you have real passion and care for, is being destroyed by the people who are supposed to be looking after and caring for it, is time to recognise that, or it will be destroyed forever.
  24. If McBurnie continues scoring for Hull (he's up to 7 for the season already) and those goals keep them in the Championship whilst we go down due in part to a chronic lack of goals, I wonder if the bean counters and laptop carriers upstairs at Ewood will reflect on that as they count the £10 million+ cost of relegation? Of course they won't, they'll just resort to more and more excuses as to why we couldn't have signed him.
  25. I find this situation very confusing, as I was under the impression that compensation was only due when the club have tried to keep the player, not when they release him, and that we would have even less rights to money if the player moved abroad. I understand there's a difference between training compensation and general compensation but still. Also although Grasshoppers aren't giants I'd have thought they'd have enough money to just pay any training compo due for a player like Bloxham, who I think we only had for 2 years, rather than putting a 25% sell on in (unless he's really just there to pad out the youth numbers and they have zero expectation he would make it). Training compo is pretty low in general usually. Didn't we just get fuck all from Espanyol for Dolan? None of this negotiating seemed to crop up then. Think I did read something about us getting a minimal training compo for him (like 200k or something, guess Espanyol would just pay that), but thought I heard it turned out we weren't eligible for it.
  26. Bob Crompton, the 'greatest' Rover of them all would need to take pride of place on such a monument.
