  1. Past hour
  2. I think Cantwell is really talented - but I just can't take to him. I feel like he doesn't want to be here. I saw a few players signing autographs before the game (with my son). Some of the players are really engaging with the young fans, it always seems like a chore to him. He's not the sort of player you need captaining you in a relegation battle either. The atmosphere was completely flat again. It's crying out for a player to put a few thumping challenges in and get the crowd revved up (I'm not suggesting Cantwell is the man to do this). Miller looks the only one capable of doing this, but he is so technically poor it's untrue. If you could combine Cantwell and Miller into one player - you'd have a gem. If you're reading this Rudy, I mean Cantwell's technique and Miller's aggression/drive. Having seen what you've signed so far, I'm fully expecting you to find someone with the reverse qualities.
  3. Prior to today, I've been saying he's the worst player I've seen in a Rovers shirt. I felt sorry for him today. He worked hard in my opinion, but only got 26 touches of the ball. He's clearly not a striker and the service to our front men is non existent.
  4. Today
  5. We are 20th because of the owners, the cheap people they employ and the distain they hold the club and the town in. Players come and go, seasons come and go, but Jesus wept, we need rid of this owners and sharpish.
  6. Watching today & wondering with the anniversary kit, is the badge the plasticy ironed on style badge for the cross? If so feels a very cheap kop out & small detail (but one which makes a difference, and sums up the club) - for £80 or £200 in a box would at least expect something sewn on & some craftsmanship to it rather than a badly placed Maltese cross on a white plain grandad shirt - must have cost pennies to make too
  7. And, of course, he misses Scotland , his Grandma is ill and wants to go home!
  8. Yesterday
  9. I'm fairly certain Henriksson wouldn't have got in our academy. He looks way off in every department.
  10. Yea but he is the worst of the lot at least de neve has pace and taveres can pick out some passes I mean he had one good game, it’s one more than henriksson
  11. Yeah...the other thing that worries me is that this injury spell has perfectly coincided with seemingly winnable games. The absences are entirely to do with the job done on the squad in the summer. What makes it worse is that we ran out of legs around this time last year., only not quite as badly. It cost us Eustace and a crack at the play offs On the back of all that, Gestede has further weakened the squad in terms of quality and depth. How can anybody trust this impostor in his current role? He saw what happened and has made this happen again and worse. Aligned indeed...
  12. What are the flashes? What attributes has he shown to suggest that there is something to work with?
  13. Erma Franklin - Piece Of My Heart
  14. Aretha Franklin - Chain Of Fools
  15. aye,he has`nt played a single game, have no idea if thats robins or just the fact he`s not very good
  16. Agreed, but my God we look toothless without him.
  17. I am not sure Gudjohnsen is much too shout about!
  18. Very true, you can't even get near the directors box to vent your spleen , due to netting being put over rows of seats!
  19. To be fair to Henriksson, he was highly rated at his old club - Just don't think it's working out for him in English football. Also to remember that he is being played out of position, he does show small flashes but think the majority have already written him off so it's a long way back. I haven't shut the door completely on him yet.
  20. I like that. Something along those lines was all that was needed. Instead...... ..
  21. Same here only difference is it will be my last ST while these charlatans remain
  22. Think the reaction to Cantwell's display today is slightly OTT but tbh I wouldnt be that bothered if anyone was sold apart from Alebiosu, and Gudjohnsen. The rest are either not very good or downright rank in many cases. That, along with having a shocking manager is why we're down in 20th.
  23. And of course Pears in that well known shade of neon green that goalkeepers in the 19th century were renowned for wearing.
  24. I thought today confirmed the opinion I had after Monday night - too many of our players are out on their feet. The injuries have caught up with us and not allowed us to rotate and rest players. Having said that, the first goal was a poor one to give away as McLoughlin and Pears ought to have done better. We badly need strengthening early in this window and certainly can't afford to lose Tronstad. I still believe we have enough about us to avoid the drop but we need to get the injured players back sooner rather than later.
  25. Just seen a ten-minute highlight and deary me, we looked bleak just like the shirt worn for the day. First goal: way too simple transition to just put a ball over the top and all of a sudden their striker is clear on goal. It's a 2v1 situation yet we can't handle it. McLoughlin's positioning is wrong as he doesn't stay on the inside of Smith before the pass is played. Pratt doesn't exactly come across as sprinting back fully either and fails to make a sliding challenge to block the attempt. Pears doesn't cover near post. All three have to take their fair share of blame for that one. Second goal: don't understand how Hedges can miss a clear header and get it away from the danger zone? He then looks at the ball instead of picking up Rathbone in the box in the follow-up situation. Just poor timing and game intelligence on display. Other notes: Cantwell looked extremly poor and lost many key challenges. Litherland is probably gone for a few weeks after pulling his hamstring, he could barely move after it happened. Can't believe we managed to keep three clean sheets before this one seeing how easily Wrexham carved us open with a simple long ball over the top. Bannan (of all people) was close for Wednesday from a similar chance a couple of days ago so I guess we've been somewhat fortunate until now. To be honest, we looked absolute shot with tired legs and no ideas going forward. Injuries are also piling up to the point where Ismael might be forced to switch to a back four? We struggle to break teams down who sit in a low block and when they also employ quick transitions, we fare even worse. If Charlton do the same, we're in trouble.
  26. No chance, he even told the owners they could fix the pitch instead of bringing in players in Jan!
