The Hibs fans thought he was better as a CB in a back 3. Didn't think he was too great as a WB. From what I've (briefly) seen of him I tend to agree - he's an athletic CB.

It's conscious, deliberate and planned. Venkys and their henchmen would rather rule over the wreckage of a League One or Two club costing them what they are prepared to spend than admit defeat, step aside and hand the club to someone prepared to fund and invest in a Championship club. Eustace will be grinning ear to ear watching this, he knew exactly what was coming and he's managed to pick up a lot of the players he wanted to keep for nothing AND spend a fortune to add to it. Utterly lunacy.

Can't wait to see the Travis, Dolan and Brittain "Congratulations Brother" messages to Hyam once he seals the move. Seriously fed up of all this now, definitely strong contenders for the drop.

I've never thought much of Hyam. He's too soft and not aggressive enough as a defender, and while he's had some good performances, I've seen him easily bullied far more times than not. He also made for a terrible captain, and it's got to be a bit humiliating having it gifted to you and then taken away so easily. Getting £2.7m for a player we paid £1.5m isn't bad business, but the timing of it is really poor. Unless we've got something miraculous lined up in the next hour. I can't see it, though. I don't think Miller has made a good right-back so far. The Birmingham game is a key example, and he seems technically clumsy. However, I think he'd be better suited at the back given his physique. Maybe he'll get better and make that position his own with a bit of time.

I don't know why foreign has to be rubbish, but we wouldn't have to go far to get a defender of Hyam's quality and we'd be furious if we were signing him for 2.7m with 12 months left on his deal. The timing is the bad part.
