  1. Yesterday
  2. Ordinarily this would be a very valid response, as we sure are a shambles, but we have already demonstrated what our approach to these players is. It would be weird even for us if we were to do that with all the others, then just with Pickering for some reason we choose to devalue the product instead. I'm pretty sure he is out of favour with the manager, whether it's for his playing style/ability or something sort of falling out.
  3. Anyone remember when we used to have that machine behind the bar that did about a dozen pints at a time? Think big! But yeah, totally agree, someone's job should be just to pour pints. Also, why does it take so long for a tea or coffee? Bring back the good old fashioned tea urn!
  4. No doubt that's one of the biggest obstacles in them being able to do whatever the fuck it is they've been doing for the last 15 years.
  5. Kilgallon would walk into this defence which kind of says a lot and how we haven't moved on a jot since he was here.
  6. Ehh, I guess we'll see in January, but going back to the weird contradictions in the original loan press releases, I've long assumed Duru's already a permanent outgoing. San Diego's was top of MLS this season and battling in the playoffs now, so always thought it was a bit of an odd team for Duru to try to break into mid-season. So, they may have seen it as a future signing themselves. Saw a couple reddit posts assuming they'll make Duru a permanent signing, but no real indication otherwise... For those interested in that sorta thing, MLS recently updated their published salaries (https://mlsplayers.org/resources/salary-guide) and Duru has a base salary of $80,622 and $98,234 guaranteed. Presuming San Diego's covering all his salary, that translates to about £1.2k/wk base or £1.4k/wk guaranteed.
  7. Reading that there was non-flushing toilets in the BBE upper comes as no surprise. My daughter reckons that it was the same in one of the ladies toilets in the JWU for the majority of last season. The place is going to wrack and ruin, but they simply don't care.
  8. Not a lot of positives to getting older, but the fact I can remember a time with players of a slightly higher pedigree than Matt Kilgallon and Gordon Greer is one of them.
  9. "My client asks me to tell you..." In plain sight! Get them OUT...
  10. You’d have thought that but this is the Venkys we’re talking about.
  11. I always thought Kilgalon was a sound enough defender but legend he ain't and there was definitely a hint of Gestede turning out his mates in that game. For balance though i suppose they wanted a few in from more recent times for the younger audience who can't remember past the last decade.
  12. That's likely to be it then. Hardly worth blasting the money away on legal fees trying to get them removed.
  13. I’ve seen nothing which removes anything other than the guarantee condition. Unless I’ve missed something, this means the following are ‘still in play’:
  14. Don't worry. They are both here in spirit. Just look at Gestede's transfer dealings!
  15. There will not be a warchest in January. Its been made more difficult for them to send money in the past. But they dont willingly send money anyway, and this seems to be misunderstood. Barring one year in which we had the one off sale of a record breaking academy graduate, they HAVE to send money every year to cover losses. Basically all Championship owners have to do the same. Expenses exceed income for clubs at this level, only difference now is they dont have to provide the same level of guarantee to do so.
  16. Is there still a requirement for them to supply an end user certificate perhaps?
  17. Did think the same, particularly first half - we couldn’t cope with their physical presence. Do also think we are especially vulnerable against any teams with an aerial / direct threat. It was similar at times in the away match at Charlton - we’ve struggled against solid, well-drilled teams with competent managers and head coaches.
  18. Even with the barrel scraped Myles Anderson still didn’t get a game. His dad will be livid.

  20. Think we should raid Luton town in the January window. There are some great players there and good strikers.
  21. You'd have thought hot and cold running water would be a condition of the Licence granted by the Local Authority.
  22. Huh, you're right, I had no idea he was on the books in the early 00s. With that said, he apparently only played in one league cup game, so... technically his only notable contribution to our history is still being part of the relegation side of 16/17.
  23. Greer had two spells with Rovers some 10 years apart!
  24. Most of them have other commitments like Warnock with NBC football or Gray with Talksport Savage was managing Forest Green Rovers. Friedal was in the US. McCarthy is Kenyan national manager Plus you are assuming that they are all fit enough to play and dont have injuries preventing them.
