bigfilbar8 Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 It has been announced today that as of next season Burnleys new shirt sponser will be Hollands Pies. Meaning every time you buy a pie you are putting money into the Dingles back pocket!

yoda Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Should be a good enough reason for Dunny to stay of them as well
LeftWinger Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 At least they've found a sponsor this year. Remember when they couldn't get one - and ended up putting their web address on the front - essentially sponsoring themselves
gazsimm Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 they are over priced and don't taste very nice
Silencio Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 They are rubbish pies, rubbish fillings. Were the last pies Pukka Pies?
DanLad Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 What a come down from sponsoring the Stanley. Have they hit hard times?
mike at picture Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 would now sooner eat my own innards served up in filo pastry.
yoda Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 would now sooner eat my own innards served up in filo pastry. Watch out HANNIBAL might be about
JC4LAB Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Quality has gone down over the years as they try to cut costs I suppose...It amazes me how bottles and cans are banned from the ground yet they they let you take a rock lethal weapon like a holland pie back to your seat which I am sure could dent the skull of any player with a good shot..
Al Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hollands pies and puddings are the best in the world. Fact.
McClarky Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 In most cases I would willingly boycott Burnley's sponsor (eg Endsleigh Insurance) but in this case....no way. If they were sponsored by Thwaites Bitter I wouldn't boycott either. Some times things are just bigger than local rivalries.

Incidentally, do you know a good souce for Hollands pies in Scotland? I used to be able to get them very occasionally in Tesco, but alas no longer!
1864roverite Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 For those who think the Holland pies are best FORGET it. Halls pies, Chorley are the best closely followed by carrs pasties at Horwich
Al Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 For those who think the Holland pies are best FORGET it. Halls pies, Chorley are the best closely followed by carrs pasties at Horwich Absolute crap
colin Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 Hollands pies and puddings are the best in the world. Fact. Sorry Al, Hollands Pies are allegedly crap, foul, full of salt, fat, gristle, ground up bits of arsehole, & intestine. Probably of dog & rat. I'm going to get this board in lots & lots of trouble for this.
Fife Rover Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 For those who think the Holland pies are best FORGET it. Halls pies, Chorley are the best closely followed by carrs pasties at Horwich Greenhalgh's pies Chorley and Ormskirk are the best! Only 1 to go!
CAPT KAYOS Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Add nowaccording to Radio Lancs this morning, Hollands have announced another 50 jobs to go with more of the production moving to the parent company Northern Foods in Ireland
thenodrog Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Thats the biggest reason to boycott them. No doubt the workings of the EU development grant system. WE give the eu loads of taxpayers money and they invest it with foreign countries to take the businesses and jobs that provide the bunce away.
USABlue Posted January 24, 2007 Posted January 24, 2007 Add nowaccording to Radio Lancs this morning, Hollands have announced another 50 jobs to go with more of the production moving to the parent company Northern Foods in Ireland So Hollands is really no longer a local piemaker?? The Worlds gone mad I tell you mad. I was always very fond of Hollands pies. Especially the Steak Puds, when I could cough up the few extra P for one. Mmmm Steak Pud, chips and peas wi peas on top. Buggar whens the next flight home
