Ste B Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I fairly reluctantantly have had to change my avatar because the one I have had for years has disappeared. Never mind the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel reminds me of my own little dog. The best friend I ever had. Now unfortunately deceased. Edit. Sorry about the sentimentality. Just brought it back to me for a moment. At some point (ie when we find them) we will still upload the old avatars.

Cocker Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I have absolutely no idea how you select an avatar ... Click my controls at the top of the screen and then down the left hand side you have the avatar settings.
broadsword Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 That's a Roger Oveur. I'll have Hamm on Five and hold the Mayo.
roversmum Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I liked the one you had yesterday Mum. I nearly posted to say so when I saw it, but thought "no, better not, don't want to give the wrong impression". Oh, go on then. As long as you're not Fred Flintstone
Radagast Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 So...uh...are we still accepting avatar submissions? Can't believe I'm without Vincent after all this time!
James No. 7 Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Are you his siamese twin I actually LOL, even though taking things literally is one of the oldest in the book.
Wolverine Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Can I just take this opportunity to say that it all looks wrong diddly wrong wrong at the moment as people don't have the avatars I am used to. I will just have to do my best, but, as i smade clear on Yorkshire News - change is not good.
92er Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I had trouble logging on the first day but I am OK now.

Probably about 2 mins after we put the old avatars back. 92er - glad your ok, it wasnt just you it was a few other AOL users like Flopsy who couldnt post. Radagast - who is Vince, surely not some Death Metal chap is it.
booth Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Hmmm, gotta say I like this new software chaps. Might get it for our boards some time

Paul Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Anyone who doesn't like the large blue space which appears when you click Add Reply, meaning you need to scroll down to the reply box, should just click "Toggle Side Panel"
Cocker Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 If you click on the spell check icon in a reply you can goto a page that will allow you to dowload a spell checker for IE - which is nice
Ste B Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Have now switched on the Gallery and Blog software if anybody fancies testing it, the links are on the top bars.
Ozz Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Rizla jpeg is up, but one of the Gallery links don't work. No link for uploading either. And your Blog works also Ste.
Ste B Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Rizla jpeg is up, but one of the Gallery links don't work. No link for uploading either. And your Blog works also Ste. You need to create an album to upload some pics.. you do that from MyControls. I'll find a way of letting people post to a "miscellaneous" album without having to create a new one.
Wolverine Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 One of the gallery links (the one that is part of the rounded navbar) still points too "http://www.brfcs.co.uk/coppermine" which displays error messages. Going to browse the gallery now. I do like the new upgrades, it is just all the members avatars seem alien at the moment!

There is a random photo of mine from Bramall Lane last year up, I largish file originally but the software automatically resizes them. Looks good too.

He's a Final Fantasy 7 character, picked it years ago for whatever reason and what can I say, I fear change. So I'm glad to have him back. Maybe I should change it to a pic of David Vincent from Morbid Angel, though.

Ta. Fixed now (well, a sticky-plaster type fix for now until we get a new header with new buttons).
grizfoot Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Liking the new features guys, well done on getting it set up and everything.
