The elitism is already there Gordon. It is obvious from their posts that they feel a little above the common herd. An inner circle within a club. However they do put in more time than the rest of us so they probably think they deserve their elitism.

I know. I can't believe you weren't picked to go!

Unfortunately I am not a member of the clique. However I do intend to go to the next FF meeting to meet and possibly join them. However if Birdy (whoever he is) has been frozen out as he is reported to have said, that may not be possible.

If you contact the secretary via the official channels (detailed on the clubs website) I'm sure there will be no problem at all with you joining the waiting list.

Be good to have you on board an hopefully change some preconceptions you may have.

I do not know anyone on the fans forum but I have been aware of its existence since it was formed and I have read all the minutes that have been published on the official website.

I'm not sure why all of a sudden people are so interested in getting involved.

As I understand it they deal with problems like the club shop, catering, the colour of the new kit, the cost of pies and the irritating little issues like taking the bottle top of the coke bottle when you buy it inside the ground and smoking in the gents at half time.

There have been a lot changes in the last 12 months at the club and people all of a sudden want to have a say in all things from transfer policy to who the next manager should be.

I am not saying this is a bad thing but maybe all of these people that are concerned for the club should maybe put there energy into helping the Rovers Supporters Trust.

We need the fans forum to deal with the crappy, irritating issues and I think it is important that these people are regular attendees of the games so they can understand the issues.

I personally think people like Glenn Mullan (who I beleive has asked how to get on the FF) would be perfect for the Supporters Trust.

Apologies to Glenn if you think I am being out of turn for mentioning you but it is my opinion that you are the kind of people that the Rovers Trust are looking for.

Fans Forum is a good organisation and in the past years has worked hard and gained respect from supporters and the club alike. However they must avoid elitism at all costs. This trip is a banana skin. To avoid comparison of someone whistling a dog to heel and giving it a chocolate drop in reward any meeting between the FF and the owners must be in Blackburn.

The elitism is already there Gordon. It is obvious from their posts that they feel a little above the common herd. An inner circle within a club. However they do put in more time than the rest of us so they probably think they deserve their elitism.

I'm beginning to form some opinions about the Pune trip but haven't really got to grips with it yet. I do want to say though I think these suggestions of elitism are very wide of the mark. As I said elsewhere I know eight of these people, none of them could be described as elitist.. Others I have met once or twice from the FF have not appeared to be elitist. I have to say to both of you to describe these fans as elitist is simply wrong.

It is a shame one person who is going on the trip has made some unfortunate remarks on here, which as I said before is not helping the whole discussion.

No worries buddy, I have indeed today emailed the Supporters Trust group, to ask where it is currently upto and also offer to help or join if they would allow that.

Anyone who is willing to put a group together on behalf of us supporters, will always have my 100% backing if its in the best interest of supporters. It takes dedication to do this sort of thing and I applaud them for trying to make this a reality

Does Glen or Glenn have a nickname we can use?

Or better still one of you change your name, "Max Powers" or something.

Our names are spelt differently, but a lot don't realise that ;)

Having tried and failed to do something similar to BRSTwith BRISA, I'd already offered my services (I can't tell them how to do it right, but I've got lots of experience at where to avoid to hopefully prevent it going wrong) but things went silent, so I don't know if they are still active.

Thats a good move. The supporters trust needs all the help it can get to keep it up and running. I went to the meeting in May to vote on if it should be setup (at least one other FF member also vote in favour as well), and it went down well. Personally I support it 100%

Which brings me nicely on to a query for the next fans forum (sorry mum! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> ).

I sit on BBE lower row 12 early 30`s and there is a hole in the roof that drips pretty badly when it pours down, does anybody else experience the same problem anywhere else in the ground?

Could it be put to the forum to take a look at this and any other problem areas? It would be greatly appreciated.

The supporters trust in effect doesn't really do anything with the club yet and that is why I suspect people want to have an impact with the established club relationship of the FF.

If you contact the secretary via the official channels (detailed on the clubs website) I'm sure there will be no problem at all with you joining the waiting list.

And that's my biggest issue. When the FF claims to represent the interest of ALL ROVERS SUPPORTERS, there should be no limit on members if they meet requirements. (ST Holder and able to make meetings.)

For practical reasons the membership has to be limited. In my role as vice-chairman I have had to chair the meeting on a number of occasions and it is hard enough controlling the meeting with 20 people in a room, let alone 200 or 2000!

The point is that when there are no obvious agenda items we canvess fans through such places as this forum. We try to reflect the views of as many supporters as we can on such issues as number of tickets allocated to away fans, and the positioning of prayer rooms. I'm not sure there is much more we can do to raise supporters issues ... but that won't stop us trying.

Just noticed this post and it struck me as interesting after I read page 12 to 15 on the protest march when you spent hours trying to belittle individuals and insult them. Which got me to write a rather large reply at the time. I'm glad I have seen you are Vice-Chairman of the group as I had typed a letter out earlier to the club about the possibility of joining the group, but after reading your comments and one or two others comments too, I have changed my mind as this is not type of group I would like to join (Which is a pity), which is no disrespect to the members on the group who are genuinlly nice people.

I don't buy into forum bullying or Keyboard warriors, and think respect and decorum either in written or verbal form should always be portrayed especially when you are representing others.

I'm sorry Glen but I've just re-read pages 12-15 and I don't get it. There was one comment you could possibly describe as "slightly inflammatory", and certainly nothing as harsh as some of the comments levelled on this board by people who supported, and purported to be on your march. Does that mean you will be distancing yourself from them too?

No not at all, I just remember at the time when I was reading that part of the thread, I found it awfully childish, As an individual was trying to get others to rise to the bait and cause an issue which really was not there.

I respect everyone's opinion's and respect their right to air it, I dnt prejudge an individual and take everyone at face value, but sometimes from reading what people write you can build a picture to what make's that person tick.

If someone does not agree with something then come out and say so, but don't insult others because they don't share that view, or try and antagonise them for it.

I think that was actually Ewood Sparks point, that people had disagreed with somebody elses view and were ganging up on him for having what was a positive outlook on would could happen, no matter how unlikely that actually was. It almost implied that people would rather see Steve Kean fired than Rovers have a good season.

Just re-read it, and I stand by what I said, people repeatedly answered the question and you kept flagging it like it was a quiz, as my post at the time said which got 22 plus votes.

I remember at the time, that it has been the only forum action that had ever wound me up since joining BRFCS, Thats why I remembered it and thats why I went and searched where it was.

However this is my opinion and I'm entitled to it, i'm sure others won't share that view and some will.

You are out of order here. Your posts to the site have been more bullying than what I have read from fans forum people.

And you criticise all fans forum people, someone said they were a member for 8 years so that fans forum has run a long time, but you insult it now because you didnt know it was there and now you want to join? But you write blog, use the internet, organise march so how on earth did you miss what other people are doing to help Blackburn Rovers football club?

And you criticise this site, you said you only found this site a month ago but apparently it has been here more than 10 years before the other sites but you seem to resent it bacause it's got a lot of members and is here a long time and you say you didn't know! But you still happy to use it to poromote your march!

You seem to think because you been on tv you on your own represent all fans better than 9 seperate fans, I'm sorry you don't you represent just you, just like they represent just themselves, but theys 9 of them so 9 views and you are just one fan so one view. You done well with the march but now you letting the tv and stuff go to your head.

Far from it, I get on well with quite a number of the Fans Forum and did ask about what it did a couple of weeks ago if you care to check, can't remember which thread but Glenn Pegden kindly explained how it works to me.

Bullying on BRFCS? If you can find me bullying someone please find the post as I hate bullying.

I have been a member of the site for longer than a month and certainly do not resent it, Why would I resent a site I post on daily and talk to many of its members daily?

The March was not my March but the fans March, and was something I very reluctantly organised, After being convinced to do so, this was also supported by many members of BRFCS Both publically and behind the scenes.

Finally I have not critisised all FF members and have stated on numerous occassion that they deserve rewarding for their voluntary work on the FF which takes up lots of their free time on issue's which some of the members have stated as boring, but still relevant.
