Rover9 Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Build a bonfire, build a bonfire Put the Burnley on the top, Put the Bolton in the middle, And we'll burn the f***** lot. This one off the link above will be used given the time of year we will play the dingles at Ewood

Pinch Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Johnny Cash was defs. a Rovers supporter, maybe we could take the first couple of lines in this song and use them: http://www.livevideo.com/video/F85EDDE6819...een-a-rove.aspx
WaffleWag Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Tune: Oh my darling Clementine .. We are Rovers Blackburn Rovers we're the pride of Lancashire always has been, forever will be, so surrender or you die
HemelRover Posted September 4, 2009 Posted September 4, 2009 Oh and just to point out 'You're just a small town in Millwall' is just about the most pathetic chant ever heard at a football match 2nd most pathetic. Not as bad as the West Ham fans/Morons singing "Stand up if you hate Millwall"
Florida Rover Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Blackburn Aces or whatever it's called: the " ooooooooooo lads should have have seen us coming....etc" Don't hear that too often from the BBE on the telly
American Rover12 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Tune: Oh my darling Clementine .. We are Rovers Blackburn Rovers we're the pride of Lancashire always has been, forever will be, so surrender or you die Like that one. Grand and simple.
4ever&ever Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 What ever happened to forever & ever, that seems to have died away over the last few years. It was always loud at home and away games. I've noticed We are the Rovers is being sung more often so far this season. Love this song when it gets going, very simple but pretty unique to us as I've never heard any other clubs using anything similar.
AJW Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 (To the tune of the Vieira song) Nikola, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh oh, Nikola, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh oh, He played for Hajduk Split, He thinks that Burnley's #### Like this one best ... perhaps someone cleverer than me can come up with some more lyrics for the killers song , human " are we human ...or are we dingle my old blackburn end favourite was the old john denver song we used to do with no lyrics i think the original lyrics start "you fill up my senses"
SD4E Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Inspiral Carpets - First verse needs more incest. Husband don't know what he's done Kids don't know what's wrong with mum She can't say, they can't see, putting it down to another bad day Daddy don't know what he's done Kids don't know what's wrong with mum SO THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE BURNLEY THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE SMALL THIS IS HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOUR CLUB WINS NOTHING AT ALL == how about Husband he knows what he's done Kids they know what's wrong with mum But they won't say, cos they all see, its just another day in Burn-e-lee SO THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE BURNLEY THIS IS HOW IT FEELS TO BE SAD THIS IS HOW IT FEELS WHEN YOUR SISTERS SHAGGING YOUR DAD and annies song by john denver in the old blackburn end was class, along with the my only sunshine surges. anyone remember... First division, here we come, right back where we started from up, and up to those golden gates to division one.
Hasta Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 First division, here we come, right back where we started from up, and up to those golden gates to division one. Yeah. I last remember it being sung when we got relegated last time from the Prem to what was then the first division. Oh and just to point out 'You're just a small town in Millwall' is just about the most pathetic chant ever heard at a football match Other daft ones include singing 'what's it like to win F all' to Everton and Villa.
Backroom Tom Posted September 5, 2009 Backroom Posted September 5, 2009 Also not to be pedantic but singing 'You never win F all' implies that they always win something. Just saying double negative and all
Hi Mack Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Also not to be pedantic but singing 'You never win F all' implies that they always win something. Just saying double negative and all (To the "Viva Ronaldo" tune) Steven N'zonzi, Steven Nzonzi Steven Nzonzi Steven Nzonzi!!!!! Need to know the tune but for the ones that do......It fits!
ben_the_beast Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 A couple of short ones which are easy and may be able to catch on. Salgado Not original but don't know if it's ever been used by Madrid for Salgado before.... To the tune of D-I-S-C-O S-A-L GADO Givet To the tune of Louis Louis, Givet, Givet, Woaaahoo Andrews To the tune of Lily Allen's 'Not Fair' He's got no flair but at least he's really keen, at least he's really keen, at least he's really keen. Roque Should we ever see him again, to the tune of Elvis, Blue Sued Shoes He moved for the money, he moved for the ho's, he had one good season and that was all he had to show so don't you ever wear white and blue!! (Needs some work this one, especially considering Citeh's colours, but I thought it was coming along for a while.) The Keith Andrews one made me chuckle. Maybe try deleting the last "at least he's really keen" for "Super Keith Andrews" Just so his name is in there somewhere How about e-i-e-i-e-i-o, up the premier league we go, when we beat the dingles, this is what we'll sing, we are rovers, we are rovers, big sam is our king! I personally think that a fantastic way to start these chants off would to maybe have a poll before every home game and people would vote for one of a selection of the best songs suggested on here. Whichever song wins the poll people learn before the game and that is the song which people make a conscious effort to introduce at the game. Otherwise it will be very difficult to get everyone on the same page with different people having different songs they would personally like to promote. Thoughts??
billesboots Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 to the chorus of the lord of the dance " coyle coyle whoever you maybe the men wear skirts in your own country it could be worse you could be dingle scum and you could mess around with your sisters bum!
Al Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 to the chorus of the lord of the dance " coyle coyle whoever you maybe the men wear skirts in your own country it could be worse you could be dingle scum and you could mess around with your sisters bum! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. How many chants have been proposed on here and how many have been used at Ewood. To my knowledge none. It's pathetic. And that one is probably the most schoolboy 'on the lavatory wall' one I have ever heard.
Backroom Tom Posted September 5, 2009 Backroom Posted September 5, 2009 I quite lik the simple ones that aren't too generic for our players: Ole ole ole ole Givet Givet is a nice one and I always liked, the Andre ooijer one and the Mokoena one.
tashor Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 "We're so average it's indisputable" .............................................. rpt ad nauseam....................
yorkblues Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 (players name) clap clap clap zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Inta Beaver Posted September 6, 2009 Posted September 6, 2009 Could one of the mods kindly set up a poll for a selection of the songs on here? It'll be like X-Factor I like it, 150% yes!
Hughesy Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 We need an anthem. We also need more songs about our King (Uncle Jack)
T4E Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Some of us have come up with some catchy, amusing and dare I say even witty songs over the years, but nothing ever seems to catch on. Most songs/chanting are met with the same apathy as everything else that surrounds the club, sadly.
alexanders Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Just some brainstorming; My hometeam uses this song and it works very good!
