Andy Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I think whatever it takes as supporters, we need to do it to get Kean out of our club. With Kean = certain relegation. Without Kean = fighting chance of survival.
Backroom DE. Posted April 16, 2011 Backroom Posted April 16, 2011 Rovers manager Steve Kean insisted his side are good enough to avoid the drop, adding: “It is a concern when we don’t win.“But we now have back-to-back home games to pick ourselves up again. We’ve been great at home.” We were great, until you took charge.
RibbleValleyRover Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Fans have been backing the team especially in this fight for survival but what has it achieved? Rovers haven't won for 10 games, the team looks all over the place and the manager is making the wrong tactical decisions. I had hoped that the players might have had enough about them to turn it around in spite of Kean but I haven't seen any evidence of that. But I was probably stupid to think that as the squad really is poor especially up front and in midfield (apart from the wingers). I just don't see how we can stay up now unless a new manager comes in and hopefully a bounce in form happens as seen with countless other appointments at football clubs. But there is no guarantee of that and many think we may have left it too late (would have sacked him after the Fulham game personally). If we end up going down it wouldn't surprise me if Kean ends up staying, if that's the case I can see us going the way of Southampton, Leeds or a Charlton.

We've got team spirit in abundance there's nothing to worry about here.
chaddyrovers Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Just had a quick gander on Twitter. It is interesting how many fans from teams all over the country are tweeting about Kean being the worst Premier League manager of all time. Whoever said that the future of the club is at stake, you have no idea how right you are. We all need to work together on this one to try and get the message through to Mrs Desai. Is this 12pm protest tomorrow really happening? If so, I'll be there. I don't know tbh. I think i will have a look down and see if there is a protest. I hope so! we need rid of this idiot asap!
Kamy100 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 The more Kean talks the more out of his depth he sounds, 4 points from the last 30 tells it's own story. I would love to know what he is saying to the owners for them to be utterly convinced that he is the man to take the club forward. Is there protest on tomorrow or just a rumour? If it is then the only way it is going to have even a little bit of impact on Venky's is if there is some media coverage about it.
BangkokRover Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 5 for keeping him are Mrs D, the chuckle brothers, Kean and Jenson. Thats 6 people since there are 3 brothers if I am not mistaken.
rookie2009 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I cant get over how stupid this egghead is...He thought we were excellent when we dont even have a shot on target till the last minute, unbeaten in 3 games talking as if we even won one of them...and then the excellent home record we have(from our 2 previous managers). I hope there is a protest tomorrow and hopefully we can rid ourselves of this rambling fool...
BPF Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 WTF are you on about BPF???? We've got team spirit in abundance there's nothing to worry about here. Sorry Maj. I'm a little distracted designing my new Steve Kean 4eva tattoo.
Amo Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 But what happens if Kean's sacked and Jensen's made manager?
BangkokRover Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 We got relegated against united last time I saw more promise in Kidd then Kean That was when SAF pretended he did not know we had just be relegated.
steverovers Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 But what happens if Kean's sacked and Jensen's made manager? It couldn't be any worse!
47er Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 5 for keeping him are Mrs D, the chuckle brothers, Kean and Jenson. Imy and Cruz?
Paul Mellelieu Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 No Chairman, no real manager, no leadership and no win in ten games.
Backroom Tom Posted April 16, 2011 Backroom Posted April 16, 2011 Regretfully, I have decided that I will no longer watch Blackburn Rovers again in live action whilst this, IMO, absolute clown and p1llock of a manager remains in charge. Perhaps, the only way Venkys will listen is if playing to an empty home section of Ewood Park. That's my decision, others must chose. Don't often agree with your ramblings but for the first time today I considered not renewing my season ticket. If we go down and he goes I will get one but if we go down and he remains in charge I don't think I'll give them my money. Out of interest, Maradonna would have been a disaster but does anyone think he could have done worse?
steverovers Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 No Chairman, no real manager, no leadership and no win in ten games. No hope I'm afraid. We have been f**cked senseless by no idea owners and management
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 the owners never come to games anymore. is this because we are losing and don't want us to turn on them. just like mike ashley at newcastle Mike Ashley is there for most games, even after the torrent of abuse he recieved (cockney t### get out of our club). These jokers in charge of our great club dont give a flying one. Hate to say this but Ewood is going to explode with anger very soon.

There wont be a protest tomorrow, the fans had their chance against Blackpool and Birmingham and bottled it. Apparently they did not protest as the two poor results against Blackpool and Birmingham were the refs fault. The fact that Wigan stuck 3 past Blackpool AWAY from home shows you how low Rovers have sunk where a 2-2 draw at Ewood is considered a good result.
47er Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 At least progress has been made on here. No-one thinks Kean is a "gem" anymore. No-one says "he deserves to be given a chance". No-one thinks "the negativity on this Board is O.T.T." No-one has said we are only 3 points from 11th. And no-one has said "the football is better under Kean." I think we are just about all resigned to relegation if Kean stays. Whether its too late anyway I don't know. But Venkys, theres a possible 50M in it to find out! A totally unnecessary and heart-breaking disaster. Will we ever recover?
Gamst Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Yes Steve, the same togetherness that has seen the team lose 6 games in the last 10 and not win since January. Incredible togetherness.
broadsword Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 No Chairman, no real manager, no leadership and no win in ten games. No chance?
RoyRover Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 A totally unnecessary and heart-breaking disaster. That's one of the things that really annoys me. What has happened is so unnecessary. If the owners had just put their plans for global domination off for a season or two until they saw how the world of football works and how competitive the Premiership is, we wouldn't be in this position. They were quick enough to sack Sam after being there for 3 games because he didn't play the type of entertaining football they wanted. How the hell has Steve Kean lasted so long then?

Because they were badly advised, they backed the wrong horse and now they are tied into an expensive contract with him.
