Might as well have his own topic.

No details yet, Nicko posted on twitter earlier this evening, Cryer is now asking if it's true he left on Friday.

Doubt Nicko would get this wrong, he did mention it may been seen as a bit political so may not make the Sundays. Why? everything else Rovers related (negative) does.

Please excuse my ignorance but who is he?

The last man standing of the old executive board. He was the Finance Director and Company Secretary. Rumours were rife today at Killie that he had left on Friday. Don't know if it's true but if it is then Venkys need to act quickly to get people in at an administrative level. At the moment Paul Hunt is going to be doing the work of three or four people which, considering that he is new to the club, is hardly fair.

No surprise as has been rumoured for weeks, but, IMO, just about rounds-off a feckin appalling set of decisions made by Venky's - Big Sam, Macca, John Williams, Tom Finn, club secretary & doctor, Nixon and now Goodman.

FFs Venky's, what is going on ??????????

Are none of these guys up to speed ?

Suggest that they've forgotten more than you ever knew.

Just so people are aware - some of rovers staff who work at ewood were en-route to Pune tonight, so they are starting to include them more now that Kentaro seem to have been shelved.

Has it still not dawned on our owners that a football club in Blackburn can't be run from Pune? About time that Mrs. D. got herself over here and started to run the club like a Premier League club rather than some passing hobby!

Nicko article in the People today about MG leaving.

http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/news/2011/08/07/blackburn-director-leaves-club-as-new-owners-impose-clear-out-102039-23325054/

BLACKBURN director Martin Goodman has left the club in the latest sweep of the ‘old guard’ by the Indian owners.

Long-serving Goodman was the financial director and company secretary but his spell in a senior role at Rovers was ended as the Venky’s group continues to change the face of the Lancashire club.

Goodman has followed ex-chairman John Williams and chief executive Tom Finn through the Ewood Park exit – with the Raos running affairs within their family.

Venny Rao, a nephew of the India-based brothers Venkatesh and Balaji Rao, is now the ‘go to’ man at Blackburn and in charge of the day-to-day running plus chasing new players and finding buyers.

He is being helped by London-based money man Tony Brown – first revealed by People Sport last week – as the chicken-farming company try to do things their own way

I pressed the wrong button here! Definitely a minus.

It's Venky's club, they have to make their own decisions and bring their own people in. 99 per cent of companies would do the same.

Anybody got any idea of who Tony Brown is or what experience of football he has?

More to the point what does Venny Rao know about football and its adminstration? With each passing day I can't help but feel that the club has been bought as a glorified toy for certain members of the Rao family.

I would think that Venny Rao is working alongside Paul Hunt and Anthony Bloch. Those 2 would know about the football administration side of the club.

Kamy are Brown and young Vinnie the two people you referred to a while back about running Rovers transfers?

Yes Imy they are the two and now assisted by Bloch and Hunt.

Venny (Vaneeth) Rao's role will be clarified soon, club due to make a official statement. Nicko is absolutely right in his article, Venny is in effect running the club, he been delegated decision making power by the owners. Quite a nice bloke, very truthful (which is superb) and determined to get things right at Ewood.

The structure is now Venny incharge with Paul Hunt pretty much doing duties of a chief executive, assisted by Bloch et al. Ali Merchant also has a role on the recruitment side but not 100% sure what it is.

It was always on the cards Goodman going, he has again done a superb job. So the team of Williams, Finn, Goodman and Pincher who made Rovers into one of the best run clubs in the country have all been removed over the last 7 months, replaced by people who have potential but very little experience for all our sakes we gotta hope that Venky's have a Gameplan here and that this pays off, you cannot afford to get things wrong off the field.

It is difficult to imagine how they could have got things more wrong over the past eight months.

Will they ask the right questions now but they have screwed themselves up by removing all the people who could give the right answers.

The litmus test will be the sacking of Steve Kean.

Thanks Kamy, very insightful.

Lets hope for all our sakes that the people with potential "step up."
