Ricky Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Gary Bowyer will be keen to get one over his old club. Be amazed if we win it as our home form has been pretty shocking of late.

Rovers_Dan Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Absolute heaven! What a bloody good team we had then...... Unreal isn't it! Forest were proper Kean to be fair that year but that swift direct style from rovers was very effective! Everything they hit that day went in and Bohinen was unplayable!
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Just got a ticket against my better judgement! Not New years day without watching footy. Hopefully 3 points but not holding breath - Heart says 2-1 rovers, head says 0-2 Forest.
alexanders Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Goodwillie in todays squad. just saw Rochina postig a pic of his shirt in the lokker room
RoverRich Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Looks like Goodwillie is straight back into the matchday squad, thanks to a tweet from Ruben https://twitter.com/rubenrochina23/status/286069379194576896/photo/1 Darn, just beaten to it!!

Ricky Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Rosado also involved. I hope Goodwillie comes in with a point to prove. Could be like a new signing.
cn174 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 So no Robbo again then either if Usai's shirt is out.
Mercer Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Hope we get 2013 off to a flier to give the new manager a bit of momentum with 2 wins on the bounce. Got a nice feeling about today and going for a 2-1 win.
booth Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Unreal isn't it! Forest were proper Kean to be fair that year but that swift direct style from rovers was very effective!Everything they hit that day went in and Bohinen was unplayable! Bohinen? Edit: Ah, you were talking about the game in 95.
ABBEY Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 thanks for trains and buses stuff. I am driving now...no hangover.
AdamRochina Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 if we keep billy sharp shackled, and run the midfield we should win this game! forest are a good side, and they have a decent away record too. hopefully another 3 points!! it would be a massive win if we get it! COME ON ROVERS!!!
cwspellowe Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 if we keep billy sharp shackled, and run the midfield we should win this game!forest are a good side, and they have a decent away record too. hopefully another 3 points!! it would be a massive win if we get it! COME ON ROVERS!!! Just to point out.. keeping Sharp shackled would mean having a solid defense, so no chance. And running the midfield? We haven't done that in about 2 years..
AdamRochina Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Just to point out.. keeping Sharp shackled would mean having a solid defense, so no chance. And running the midfield? We haven't done that in about 2 years.. we did it against barnsley...we ran the midfield, vukcevic and king stormed that game.. and its apparntley the same line up so i think we can again
Rover_Shaun Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Barnsely are the worst team in the league.........oh dreary me
cwspellowe Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Yes but that was against the team bottom of the league. We also thumped Peterborough when they were going through a dry spell. Doesn't fill me with confidence but Simon in the middle may be just what we need.
AdamRochina Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 ehh yeah i have to agree but still, with the same team as last time if so then i think we should be ok.
pick32 Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Strong team out again today with just one change CKR coming in for injured vuckevic and goodwillie in squad.
mayo Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 ROVERS: Kean, Henley, Dann, Hanley, Olsson, Murphy, Lowe, King, Rochina, Rhodes, Kazim-Richards. Subs: Usai, Pedersen, M.Olsson, Nuno Gomes, Morris, Rosado, Goodwillie Kazim-Richards in for Simon Vukcevic who misses out after limping off at HT against Barnsley on Sat.
Dunnfc Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Don't think that looks balanced, Simon can play centrally and always drifts in to help when out wide, rochina and king with rhodes and kazim is like a front four. Should have been MGP in for Simon.
Stuart Ripley Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Peter Taylor now odds on favourite. FFS. 1/4 with a couple!!!

Agreed. I think Bowyer has done the right thing in trying to shore up central midfield with more players, but out of those three only Lowe is defensive-minded and he's still a bit of a headless chicken... Might get messy.
Doug Posted January 1, 2013 Posted January 1, 2013 Is this on Radio Lancs, tried all the frequencys and can't find it!
