Gally Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 A saint is he? From Wiki........ "Peter Coates, director of Bet365 and a lifelong supporter of the British Labour party, has donated hundreds of thousands of pounds to the party. One particularly large donation coincided with the relaxation of gambling legislation and the lifting of a ban on television advertising by the Labour government.[17]" Not exactly on topic, but the donation was made well over a year after the bill was passed, hardly coinciding when you consider he's made lots of other donations over a long period.

Backroom DE. Posted January 21, 2013 Backroom Posted January 21, 2013 Blackburn: Derek Shaw coy on Rovers power strugglehttp://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21120563? I try not to judge on appearance but he looks like such a drip.
Rover_Shaun Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Hopefully the bin man will get stuck in snow and Bowyer can take charge on Tuesday
Mike Graham Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I try not to judge on appearance but he looks like such a drip. would you have him in your house building shelves?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 21, 2013 Moderation Lead Posted January 21, 2013 The only good thing that happened on Saturday was one of the Venk's getting hit in the face with a snow ball. And I had a front row seat

Howler Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Maybe they were meeting the other owners there. haha beat me to it!

Backroom Tom Posted January 21, 2013 Backroom Posted January 21, 2013 good reply from both mark and dan, short and precise. Not quite sure how this warranted an article of fan comments on it at all to be honest
Billinge End Blue Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 At 4pm tonight, two stretch grey Mercedes drove over Revidge Road in the gently falling snow, seemed like Mrs D in the rear one. No snowballs were thrown. Perhaps heading to Brockhall from Ewood? Are they finally getting round to 'changing their baby'? Even with all the Kean wet-wiped away there is ongoing serious nappy rash at BRFC!

The relationship between the owners and fans has been always been bitter ever since Venky's took over the club. Well that's a lie.
Amo Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Well that's a lie. Mmhm. Little bit of spin in that article *shock horror* Most fans were open-minded about Venky's taking over and things only kicked off when they backed Kean unconditionally.
Stuart Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Sounds like the "R" word could be about to rear it's ugly head again. No, not that one...!
Robert Tressell Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 I think some people shold grow up, yeah the snowball thing has blown out of proppotion since it was only a snowball but it ain't clever or funny. Snowball fights are lots of fun, when two or more people join in the game and throw handfulls of snow at each other, good fun. When getting hit in the face by a snowball when you are least expecting it and trying to go about your own business is definately not fun, when someone would do this to an elderly man or your own grandad then that definaetly is not fun or clever unless you don;t have a brain cell. If thats going on whilst some people are continually shouting f-ing scum! you f-ing scum!, then some people really need to get a life, I'm angry about whats happened to rovers, I would boo no problem or shout 'you don't know what you are doing' thats fine but when fully grown men vent their spleen by effing and blinding at someone than they need to find more in their life and not rely on brfc so much, and try to act in some small way as role models to the children around them or at least have a little respect.
Stuart Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 Really-bloody-ugly?Sorry, I'm still laughing at the fact Robert Tressell popped up immediately afterwards!Bad timing Robert. But please don't compare my grandad to Mr Desai...
Robert Tressell Posted January 21, 2013 Posted January 21, 2013 haha, sorry if i ruined that for you, it was more a response from trawling through the last few pages.
bypass06 Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Southampton fans need to follow the example of those at Blackburn or the very soul of their club will be in danger.http://thetwounfortunates.com/southampton-blackburn-cardiff-city-and-the-necessity-of-protest/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=southampton-blackburn-cardiff-city-and-the-necessity-of-protest

He's not an old man. He's only in his 50's. Quite young in this day and age. Pity it hit him and not his odious wife.
Backroom DE. Posted January 22, 2013 Backroom Posted January 22, 2013 Southampton fans need to follow the example of those at Blackburn or the very soul of their club will be in danger.http://thetwounfortunates.com/southampton-blackburn-cardiff-city-and-the-necessity-of-protest/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=southampton-blackburn-cardiff-city-and-the-necessity-of-protest Not sure I agree with this. You can't compare the situation at Cardiff or Southampton to us. We're pretty much unprecedented in terms of owners coming in and absolutely wrecking a club from top to bottom. It's a bizarre decision by the owner to change manager, but Southampton otherwise seems fairly well run and the owner there has brought them success. Similarly, whilst Cardiff have endured some changes to the image of the club, they're experiencing success. What success have we had? None. We suffered the most demented, clueless manager in history for nearly two years, got relegated, watched all the club's competent staff leave and be replaced with utter cretins, been treated like dirt inside the stadium, been lied to over and over again by almost all members of the club ... Southampton and Cardiff have a longgggg way to go before they can begin to fathom what this club has been through and continues to go through.
Andy Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 He's not an old man. He's only in his 50's. Quite young in this day and age. Pity it hit him and not his odious wife. Sorry, but in any day and age, 50's = old.
Stuart Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Sorry, but in any day and age, 50's = old. You won't think that when you get there!
forumquizmaster Posted January 22, 2013 Posted January 22, 2013 Sorry, but in any day and age, 50's = old. Its all relative. Anyone with elderly parents would look at photos of them when they were in their 50s and think how young they were back then. When I was 30 I would have said 50 was old. Now I'm nearly 50 I don't think so at all.
