blueboy3333 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 i doubt Perch is on stupid money... for Newcastle he wont be, if he comes to us, then maybe we would have to pay stupid money. That's what i meant in a cack-handed way. Anyone coming down from the prem, who has featured regularly, will be on more than Rovers can afford to pay.

saxo1man30 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 who was our last swiss player, stephane henchoz? if he`s anything like as good as him it wouldn`t be too bad a signing..
rovers_rob Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Where has this James Perch rumour come from ? Other than 1 tweet on twitter by someone I can't see any mention of him anywhere. Has it been in the paper ?
G Somerset Rover Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Kane has signed a season long loan. Can't provide a link right now but confirmed on official site.
Guest Norbert Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Vogel was an odd one. He seemed to have the ability to be a pretty decent player, but never played, and went stale/crap. Berner was just evidence that Hughes is a bit hit and miss when it comes to bringing through youngsters at best. He was never going to be 1st choice, and yet he still came in ahead of say, McEverley who looked fairly promising at that stage.
davulsukur Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Kane has signed a season long loan. Can't provide a link right now but confirmed on official site. Good move. That's right back sorted, just need to ship Orr out of the club now.
T.J.Newton Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 So after all the speculation, kane is the utility man we've been after? (It should have been obvious now you think about it!) Good to have him back.
Mark Atkins' Bald Patch Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Kane has signed a season long loan. Can't provide a link right now but confirmed on official site. Very good news. The only negative being Henley's progress being stifled. Do you think Henley could do an effective job at LB over the course of a season?
rovers_rob Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Kane has signed a season long loan. Can't provide a link right now but confirmed on official site. Chelsea starlet set to sign Glad he is back. Probably means that Orr will be on his way out.
Backroom Madon Posted June 25, 2013 Backroom Posted June 25, 2013 Cracking signing. Was probably our best player towards the end of last year.
saxo1man30 Posted June 25, 2013 Author Posted June 25, 2013 Clearly you have forgotton Vogel and Berner... wonder why..?
mhead Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 And now Todd Kane for all Season on loan. Brilliant! The GB Reformation well underway - at minimal cost. Keyboard Warriors - ST costs only 225 pounds.Mine next week.
G Somerset Rover Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I reckon Olsson will join Stoke and Henley will play left back. Happy with Kane returning. I was initially sceptical but he proved me wrong. Also hopefully it means that it's the last we've seen of Orr.
rovers11 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Good signing! After a slow start, I was really impressed with Kane. GB is building a really good young team. I expect Henley to play left back and Kane right back - that will be two excellent full backs bombing forward. A back four of: Kean, Kane, Hanley, Dann (if he stays), Henley. That is an excellent back line full of youth.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Clearly you have forgotton Vogel and Berner... ...Most people will have done the moment they exited Ewood!
BigBar Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Happy days!! Really wanted this to happen, not just for a few months either, more stability knowin he will be there for the season! Excellent...the defence seems to be almost complete now! Midfield needs a bit of work..get to work on that next Gary.. IN GB WE TRUST!!
LeChuck Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Kane obviously likes it here, his performances last season would have made him appealing to most Championship clubs.
Guest Norbert Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 I think if we get our central midfield sorted, and manage to keep Rhodes we could be pleasantly surprised. It is nice to have a genuinely optimistic feeling for once, and not have to talk yourself into it. Cue Rhodes being sold on deadline day and replaced by Bothroyd............
Boylerhaus Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 So after all the speculation, kane is the utility man we've been after? (It should have been obvious now you think about it!) Good to have him back. I think the utility player is still the Swiss lad. It was mentioned yesterday Bowyer was hoping for two imminent signings. Kane just plays rb while veseli was described in that united article as a utility player
Ricky Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 It also said the utility man was still attached to a club.
john.leigh Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Maybe at the time of Bowyer speaking Veseli WAS still at a club?
rovers11 Posted June 25, 2013 Posted June 25, 2013 Still think we lack a pacy winger. We obviously need another central midfielder (hopefully Jones). That would leave us with Jones, Lowe, Williamson, Etuhu and mystery utility man as the CM options. Wide options = King, Marcus Olsson, Judge, Taylor, Nunes. GB has said he sees Nunes as a game changer so can see him having a more prominent role last year. Liked the look of him when he played but seemed to diasappear off the face of the earth with all the managerial changes. I expect pedersen, murphy, rosado and other useless portugese players to leave. Attacking options = Best, Rhodes, Rochina, Dunn. Expect Gomes and Goodwillie to leave. Also expect a young, relatively cheap striker to arrive, someone like Wells.
