Maybe Venkys are saying goodbye, and the club said if that's the case, let's bring back all the old guys from years gone by. One can live in hope I suppose.

I'm not so sure about that, surely the description would read as something other than "Auditor's resignation"?

Don't want to jump the gun, but my immediate gut reaction was that the new auditors have found something they dislike as well.
