wellesbourne Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Whilst i still want to support my team through thick and thin my proposed protest is a 2nd half walk out. Would soon get some coverage on football league show etc when the crowd can be visibly seen in first half but a few hardy souls should remain in the 2nd half with Venky's out banners or some banners that highlight our position and what we are doing. For 2nd half i will watch on tv on the concourse but won't be spending any money down there.

BlueMonday Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 How about we form some sort of supporters club for it and give it an acronym. Get it out on Twitter and Facebook and get it trending, it will soon gather momentum. The Motto is away support only and the acronym is BRAVES. Blackburn Rovers Anti Venky's Establishment Supporters.Thumbs up for that. If someone is Facebook savvy they could set up a page.

Baz Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 You wont get everyone to boycott, however one thing people could do is to encourage all fans to not renew their season ticket, until the very last day of the early bird window (if we have one - claim your seat deadline date if not), so the club becomes aware that even the most committed fans are not happy with things. Everyone who thinks they should listen to the offer from Seneca, should email Venkys too.
ABBEY Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 email ...the feedback on rovers site ..i got a reply today saying they are sorry to hear this and forwrding it..no idea to but if anyone sends em a mail at least its noted.

Everyone who thinks they should listen to the offer from Seneca, should email Venkys too. This is why i came up with the peaceful picket protest. Perhaps on Bolton road. Telling literally 1000's of people going by not to renew teamed with a few pro Seneca banners to show what we want, maybe a couple 'away days only' banners too. Obviously would need to happen soon so the proposal doesnt become history and before people renew.

Not received a replySums it up.

MCMC1875 Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 What about fans going to Euro 2016 taking 'Venkys Out' flags? A mate of mine who's going asked for one yesterday.

OJRovers Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 First game of the season should be a full boycott if they are still owners of the club. Get everyone on the hill instead.
J*B Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 I like this. A good idea. Agreed. Lets keep talking about it until its too late.
MCMC1875 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 The French know how to protest. Blockade the Leeds & Liverpool Canal at Ewood and burning tyres on Bolton Road. That would get some bloody headlines!!! Anyone got a barge we can borrow and an old set of Goodyears?
perthblue02 Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Anyone got a barge we can borrow and an old set of Goodyears? Still attached to Balaji's Jaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggg

Anyone got a barge we can borrow and an old set of Goodyears? I have a set of Goodyears. 95, champions league, Europa, Worthington Cup, nice FA cup semi final run, winning the playoffs, playing some great football under Hughes, being in the premiership, seeing some top players at Rovers.. Those were a set of Goodyears
Jock Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Blackpool fans turning up the pressure. ' Oyston Rapist ' stickers all over signs in Blackpool. Any ideas for our owners?
ABBEY Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 Ramp it up .. With brainwashing propaganda coming out of ewood , the discontent is getting thru . There running scared is Lee still the horses mouth or the chicken lips these days ? Venkys Out
Claytons Left Boot Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Blackpool fans turning up the pressure. ' Oyston Rapist ' stickers all over signs in Blackpool. Any ideas for our owners? We're alright us Rovers fans, we're real hard nuts. Blackpool and Charlton fans in proper protests worthy of the name, balls all over the pitch, multitude of banners, pitch invasions, posters etc etc. Ppfff, ppfff....we throw a reight good snowball, we do.
Norbert Rassragr Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 My ideas are probably difficult to do, highly illegal and would probably get the attention of the police if I mentioned them!
J*B Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 My ideas are probably difficult to do, highly illegal and would probably get the attention of the police if I mentioned them! Just set up an email thread with people who are willing to get involved. Ask for folks to send their email addresses over to you via PM if they have a genuine interest in serious protests. I bet you get less than 10 from here. All talk.
Gav Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Sadly the only protest thats worth joining is the boycotting of games because far to many fans are just going with the flow and seeing where we end up. I got to the point under king rat where i could take no more, something had to give, and despite living 15minutes from the ground I boycotted or risked doing time over that ****. Under that drunken sh1tbag I took back control, I decided I'd no longer let him and his spiv mates impact on my life and it worked well, I started to sleep at nights and enjoy my weekends again, but I came back as soon as he resigned without exception and I'll do that again when Venkys sod off. I now live out of the area, so some would say its easy for me to boycott, but when you've been going regularly since 70's its not easy to boycott, in fact I'd say its even harder in some respects because absence makes the heart grow fonder as they say. But boycott it is for me, they simply don't care and are telling me that with each passing crisis, and the vast majority of fans aren't interested in rocking the boat which is almost of disgusting as Venkys soiling Jacks name with every passing day. Jack Walker gave us the good times, he'd be at the front of the queue to get rid of these ****s and yet fans do nothing, it makes me sick.
tomphil Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 I'm at that point now in regards to the owners & advisors & investors, I can tolerate bad footy and underwhelming gaffers it's all part and parcel of it but I'm sick of the rest of it angering me everyday whilst those arrogant con artists sit in Pune and wherever else wondering what all the fuss is about. Those with any interest in Jacks legacy should be at the front of the que to try and rid us of this insult to the great man they've lumbered the town with. But no, they are busy spending his legacy !

My solutions would need access to aeroplane tickets, top computer skills and the sort of objects the IRA find useful. So not very practical or realistic unless you fancy being in an Indian prison for 30 years.

The vast majority of the fanbase has walked away and more will continue to do so. That's the most effective form of protest IMO. The owners haven't got a clue, if we protest (which I would get involved with), there's nobody here, they're in India and they don't care. This situation is fairly unprecedented I'd say. All other owners of clubs are at least present at games or have some sort of involvement, but this lot are miles away and don't care/won't listen and think they know best, even though they've proven time after time they really don't. Just hoping they get sick of it and clear off tbh.
