For many it's gone to far, you can only have your nose rubbed in the sh1t so many times before you break.

Coyle is just another symptom, the disease is Venkys and until they sod off we'll continue getting questionable appointments and rubbish like Coyle.

His managerial record is a disgrace.

People can make personal decisions on whether they want to support (pay) or get behind (watch/sing) and I know what my decision will be. Targeting coyle is ridiculous IMO though.

If Venky's appointed a turd, the Rovers Fans would still be saying " Get behind it".

All Coyle's appointment has achieved is to further divide and anger the fans.

Forget the Burnley connection. I think most people can look beyond that.

I would even overlook the SEM connection had this guy had a half decent set of results on his CV in recent years.

On results alone, there is simply no justification for the appointment.

For that muppet, Cheston, to claim he was the best available is an insult.

I don't exoect any active hostility towards Coyle in August, (& there shouldn't be),but, oh boy, does he need a good start.

I don't disagree with your diagnosis. Even if things were normal, on an even keel, the Coyle appointment would have been risky etc.

In the current context, it seems rather calculated to breed further supporter disengagement.

It is all too easy for people to dismiss concerns about SEM, Coyle's "amnesia," his managerial record, not to mention his defence of Kean etc. Reasonable concerns will be airbrushed with comments like ". He hasn't managed a game yet/Give him a chance". Of course, we don't expect Coyle to get the sack now. However, his appointment shows the dishonesty of all communications about the recruitment process...and indeed dishonesty at the heart of the club.

I have also observed amusing, dismissive comments about not signing players, merely because are SEM clients, but I would question the analysis of anyone, who had no concerns about SEM and Blackburn Rovers.

If everyone didn't go then they'd notice but I don't think the entirety of Rovers fanbase has it in them to defy their masters.
