Was only thinking the other day it was about time for his 6 monthly waffle in the press. Now he's spinning it in a different angle now, what chuffin debt ? He never mentioned debt once whilst here and the debt on takeover was 19 million, cleared in one go by the Phil Jones sale. Prem league TV / Prize and gate money ran the club.

Reading between the lines they were cost cutting and cashing in to get their stake money back that was the real debt he's on about.

As always he's an utter lying scumbag !

Good summary of the plight of several clubs in a similar position to ours. It does make me think that there is scope for the various clubs' supporters groups coming together, we all have similar problems. Could be a way of getting a louder, more consistent message across to the media, putting more pressure on The FA. Can't help but feel that with all the corruption issues at the moment, now is the time to push this.

100% confirmed by the press reports at the time, Sir Alex Ferguson, the John Williams letter and the legal letter from Venky's solicitors that these agents completely took over all management and operations of Blackburn Rovers, acted as shadow directors and flagrantly abused all football regulations with regards to what agents can and cannot do.

There is every evidence and reason for the football authorities to act against the agents, club and owners.

There is zero intent to do so.

Absolutely. Why do so many people stiil seek to explain away this inertia by the authorities and the press? Patti Hearst is certainly alive and well in these parts and the recording of the supporters meeting shows just how hard Cheston, Coar and co are trying to kid everyone that this is normal.

You are clearly right about zero intent. Important questions are around the function of this refusal to act. Who gains from this? Who stands to lose, if this all comes out?

Meanwhile, the supporter base simply must act. If not now, when?

Good read that. The quote from the Charlton fan can also be applied to Rovers:-

"Charlton Athletic have been relegated six times in my lifetime,” says Richard Wiseman, chairman of the Charlton Supporters Trust. “But no one took to the streets or threw beach balls on the pitch. Supporters weren’t happy but they saw it as part of the game – brought about by bad luck, shortage of money or a few bad decisions.”

Wiseman says that the club’s decline during Roland Duchatelet’s ownership, which began in January 2014, “has provoked extraordinary levels of anger fuelled by the fact that this decline is the result of a toxic mixture of arrogance, incompetence and stubbornness.”

...add to that a possible breaching of FA rules and the Charlton bloke sums up nicely why our demise can also not just be wriiten off as the normal ebb and flow of the life of a football club.

And a certain member of the FA council knew all this from the off and did nothing.

Rotten to the coar!

No wonder fans are being threatened with court action. Some people hate the truth and try to hide from it. To the guys at BRAG who are pursuing this threat of court action, keep up the pressure, this person deserves all he has, coming to him.

The Guardian article is very good and makes me wonder if it would be possible to get the supporters off all clubs mentioned in it together and stage a super protest? Just as an idea and to put it out to debate, what about finding the largest None league ground and filling it on a random match day with supporters from the "host club" and Charlton, Blackpool, Coventry and Rovers supporters? I am sure that would attract media attention and maybe highlight the issues to the wider football supporting public.

Careful- the only thing he says is "see you in coart"

That said it would be brilliant to call him to the witness stand under oath.

Three articles of interest today via Newsnow.

Chris Sutton believes Premier League should go the same way as the Bundeslega(though I couldn't get the link to work), an article in the Independent marking the 25th anniversary of Dalglish joining Rovers with much complimentary stuff about Jack and putting the boot into Venkys at the end and Mark Atkins, still a Rovers supporter after all these years, urging Venkys to invest. He has his grandson decked out in Rovers gear and states that you can't start too early to be a Rovers supporter. Legend!

Exomars space craft has landed on Mars and the signal that it is there has to be confirmed using telescope in Pune. While they are at it can they contact Venky's and tell them to sell up and leave us to pick up the pieces from their destruction of this ones proud club!

Venky's out!
