Could you confirm what type of buyers enquired as mentioned by Mike in his speech? Were they individuals, corporates or consortiums?

I would like to know this also.

Please could someone explain in more detail how suhail has been here from the start. It needs clarifying.

I feel this is absolutely crucial. We need to push this hard. Pasha and Waggot said in their media video (when asked by Andy Bayes) that any credible offers would be presented to Venkys. Therefore, it is imperative that we are told what happened to these offers. If rejected, why. Wrong price? Wrong buyer? Silence will again provide fans with yet more ammo.

The question needs answering as to why the owners don't bail...

1. Can't admit they failed - well, they've dug themselves a deeper hole and the shame grows daily.

2. Recoup investment - seems poor business sense when they're clearly competent with the chicken business. They've poured money in for over a decade. Would £100m from a promotion to the PL really make up for it?

3. Fun - they're absentee so I doubt they're just enjoying the football!

If they really wanted to wash their hands of Rovers, there'd be someone willing to buy. Even if the new owners were worse than the current regime.

You do have to remember, too, that even after the best part of 10 years in the PL culminating from over a decade of exceptionally competent management, Burnley only managed to sell a bit of equity to some exciting American investors.

I want good owners for Rovers as much as the next fan. But chances are, we'd end up like Hull, Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday or Reading.

Rovers aren't investable. No parachute money, relatively small fanbase, infrastructure in need of an overhaul, small declined town in a saturated region 100s and miles from the South East. There's a reason Palace, Brentford and Brighton have been able to do it yet we haven't! The proposition isn't there for Rovers.

I'm aware of 3 enquiries , one American, one Austrian and one Brazilian.

All 3 approaches were sent to India and the response was.

"Stop sending these approaches, we are not selling the club"

To add some further info, 2 went on to buy other clubs but have been as bad if not worse than Venkys.

I can't share who these bidders were due to breaking a significant confidence.

These may be different to the ones the trust refer to, but these are 100% factual

I am aware of 5 Consortia, plus the Qataris from way back.

The approaches start very tentatively with a " we are looking to buy a UK Football Club"

Its all VERY confidential and not for this forum, sorry.

I remember Pasha arriving as an invisble man around the time of the Shelfy Shaw/Henning Berg Court case, but he may have been making Ewood trips before that.

The two comments beneath that video... 😑

The biggest conflict I have in all this is that the vast majority of Rovers fans deserve the club we were between 1875 and 2010, but a minority deserve all the utter shite that has come our way this past 15 years. They'd arrive home to find their partners shagging someone else and apologise for disturbing them.

Agreed. Imagine if what had happened to Rovers happened to Newcastle! The decline of Rovers was allowed to happen 'salami slice style', surrendering an inch at a time. The frog has now well and truly been boiled, yet many still have their heads in the sand.

Two excellent analogies there. Exactly how it feels!

Thanks for that, watched it yesterday.

Really well done to all the speakers 👏

Rovers, however are just a complete and total embarrassment, bringing the shutters down and cutting communications because the fans are unhappy. Are we run by stroppy 14 year old teenagers?

And Suahil thinks Venkys, one of the biggest disasters in our clubs history should write the foreword for our 150 year anniversary book 😂. Jog on you fucking prick (although Waggotts reply to that did make me laugh)

One of the Trust's main focuses for next season has to be building the membership.

Mark the 150th anniversary season with an offer of £1.50 for the first year's annual membership (with recurring £10 fee for every subsequent year).

I know the new board members will bring some new ideas, into play, but I think a Trust led campaign to ensure the 150th anniversary is celebrated properly, is likely to attract new membership too.

Given what was said about the foreword in the planned book and how it was suggested that if the owners do insist on doing that, it will die a death, I think we need to accept that it will pass off with hardly any proper recognition, if we leave this to the club.
