Donnarumma made some outstanding saves last night. He tends to do that against English opposition. 

Once Ruiz scored it was over. Arsenal weren't scoring 3 goals. Although if Saka's second chance went in the Parisians would have got very nervous. 

Arsenal were hurt by injuries. Gabriel was a big miss at both ends of the pitch. Kiwior is a big drop in talent. Havertz, although not an out and out striker, gives the team a focal point. 

For all the guile that Odegaard and Saka have Arteta has spent the season relying on free kicks, corners, and last night long throws to score. I read a few comments on the BBC match report (I know it's not high brow), but many were scathing of Arteta's tactics, and his managerial skills.

And yet one of them will be playing in the Champions League next season. I would say it's a farce but they got there fair and square, so you can only conclude that there is a ridiculous disparity between the PL and other European leagues, when the top two in those leagues are removed from the equation.

To be fair at least you’ve won a competition to get a CL place, far more of an achievement than coming fifth… should do the same for the FA Cup winners (they won’t, of course, Palace in the Champions League over City or Chelsea - ha, like they’d ever vote that through).

FA cup isn't a league format and that what you qualify for the champions league for. Not for cup winners, which is what the conference Europe league should be there for. 

Also Palace should qualify for Europe given they have reach the FA cup, it shouldn't revert back to the league if City win the FA cup

I agree, but if they are to insist on having it this way then the competition really needs a name change. With the new format they rolled out this year it has pretty much become the European Super League in all but name, so may as well change it to be called that now.

Disappointing to see Forest lose form and fall away in the final games. They've had an excellent season and I'd dearly love them to make the CL instead of Chelsea and Villa, particularly Chelsea. Nobody likes them.

Three "big" northern clubs going up is good will make the PL better balanced next season. Shame none of the London clubs are going down. There's too many in the top flight. Target for next season any of the London clubs and/or Bournemouth, Brighton for relegation - to be replaced by more north of England clubs of course
