Yep.

(Speculating here)......maybe it's like Exiled said and they know there are further matters yet to be uncovered therefore they know they'd be likely to lose any monies put up as guarantee.

But.....(Thinking aloud) If all other dealings related to Rovers are above board then even with a politically motivated Government gunning for you, surely any guarantees given in that respect should be safe and there shouldn't be any worries in that respect about sending money over.

It's a weird one.

Hmmm knowing how things work over there i think they've every right to be worried they'd never see their money again regardless of the outcome.

Main danger though is it could just go on year after year and tie up tens of millions although their alleged mega generosity due to being double billionaires seems to have disappeared these last few years.

Don't they have various pharmaceutical interests in Europe?

Wonder how they manage to get money to them if needed? Although they're maybe all profit earners or at the very least self sufficient.

Not sure on the state of play with that but i presume they are much smaller self sufficient operations.

I do know something bit the dust over there and i don't think the big Swiss vaccine plant plans they had ever got off the ground.

Anyone else heard about this?

A quick Google shows HMRC have confirmed the investigation but not the clubs involved.

The ‘they’ for the £17 million is the 33 clubs combined not Rovers (even if we are one of the clubs) individually.

And Chelsea, Forest and Fulham make up around £5mil of that 17 apparently, so £12m between 30.

Another summer of cutbacks

No investment into the squad

More sales of key players

I cannot put into words how much I detest these owners.

Ironically, the good news is we have very little of them to sell. What would Brittain, Carter and Trav raise? £5m? A Wharton sell on fee too. Then what?

Their time up is coming. It’s just another case of how long is the piece of string.

Someone get it all into ChatGPT and make it summarise it based on Indian law. Thats the clearest way to work out exactly what’s going on.

Well, if there was thought there was any free money to be had, Waggott would probably have been in on it.

Didn't someone once  say the great master plan of him and Fraser Reid was to allow the Riverside to fall into disrepair in the hope it would be condemned and we could then claim a grant towards rebuilding it?

This season, we're heading people into it!

What exactly doe "OK" amount to in our circumstances?

Is that their plan for the whole stadium?

I’ve been saying this for a while. There’s no impediment if they can send money. Some have never quite grasped that part.

The funny thing is by parroting the same nonsense the fans who haven’t quite grasped it are actually protecting Venkys. The reality is Venkys are choosing not to send money. Nobody is stopping them. There is no impediment. They are choosing to cover costs when they have to and nothing else.

THAT IS A CHOICE!

Venkys have no control as to whether they get granted a No Objection Certificate.

The bonds are a condition of the certificate being granted. The court cases are them fighting back against this. It is not as simple as them just paying a bond to send money over.

There are both external and internal impediments to them sending over funds. None of these facts absolve them of responsibility in any way. If it's that much of a bother to them then they should sell up and fuck off.

She wrote the article for athletic and New York times re Rovers womens football team being shit on.

Any publicity highlighting our dysfunctional owners and useless gravy train cohorts running the club into the ground is worth its weight as far as I'm concerned

Agreed, journalists finding a thread and pulling at it is exactly what we’ve needed.

If 33 clubs are in the frame i'd say it's the rules that are the problem in this instance.

Having dealt with HMRC in the past it doesn't matter if it's their mistake, you'll still end up paying.

Hopefully it is HMRC then.

Administration can't come soon enough. I'd snap your hands off for it right now even if the cost was relegation.

We simply have to get rid of venkys. By any means necessary and whatever the cost.

A few pointers - rovers had 2 sets of accountant doing a sweep and review of the accounts 2 years ago and no evidence of impropriety was found then!

Indian government and their financial departments have absolutely no jurisdiction over Rovers or the venkys companies based in the UK.

As far as anyone is aware HMRC have not got Rovers in their sights - we just are a club with huge financial outlays/contracts and image rights! That’s where their investigations lie at the moment !

Money laundering can be investigated cross border. Not certain if this is the case here, by any stretch of the imagination, but think it’s a serious matter, when property is being seized.
