StHelensRover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Does anyone think that a 'red card' protest would gain any sort of traction amongst the fans that are still going to matches? "Show Venkys, Pasha and Rudy the Red Card" Would enough people participate for it to get attention? Sheffield Wednesday did it recently with yellow cards, they have more people turning up to games than we do and they're more of a media darling than we are, but I remember it being reported. It's low cost it, doesn't disrupt the game, it doesn't attack the players (just back the lads FFS), it only has to be done for a minute (maybe at kickoff) for people to get photos of it and for it to make the point, anyone can join in. There's no way for the club to misinterpret it or spin it. My only concern would be that only a few patches of the crowd would join in and the smug lot in the boardroom would sneer that protestors are unrepresentative. They would look good in the away stand at Dumpdale and would get good media coverage. Edited 3 hours ago by Mike Graham 2 Quote

We were lucky if we managed 5k home fans in last night; all we had were a few shouts of “you don’t know what you’re doing” and a banner for the last few minutes saying ‘Pasha Out’ - I doubt if anyone outside of the Rovers fan base (and even some of our fans) knows who Pasha is. The Sheffield Wednesday home game should be the target for a joint protest with the Owls supporters. @glen9mullani know you don't have all the answers mate but can we forget an alliance with sheff Wednesday? People could bring and hold up anything red really, as long as it's visible. Could be red carrier bag, envelope, buspass holder, anything someone could bring into the ground legally. All going to look the same from the distance of the directors box or a TV camera. Make it as straightforward as possible for people. 1 Quote

davulsukur Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I've always thought a visual protest, that can be done with no effort and straight from your seat at Ewood or at an away ground is a good idea. The red card idea is good, as said above, if you get enough people doing it for an away game on Sky, it would make a good impact. 2 Quote
DuffsLeftPeg Posted 1 hour ago Author Posted 1 hour ago Great idea 💡 If everyone got on board with this and printed out 5-10 cards each for their mates and people around them, it would get some traction. Doing something is better than nothing 1 Quote

There is literally no-one else sat within 10 seats to right of left and 3 rows forward and back of my mum and I. 2 Quote
