Yes, where there were 7,000 on in a 32,000 stadium.

A lot of people have obviously voted with their feet already BUT there was practically zero anti Venky's sentiment inside the Stadium which I was surprised about.

What are Wolves fans protesting about? The entitled sods.

Perhaps a lack of investment from disinterested owners half the way across the globe who don’t give a toss…🤷‍♂️

This is because it's moved past anger to general apathy now.

Where I stand in the BBE, everyone has had a ST in the same spot here for years. For a while now, everyone is just turning up, going through the motions. It's a very strange experience. As everyone gets to their seats at kickoff, they just sort of roll their eyes and give each other knowing looks, puff their cheeks out and all just generally look fed up before we kick off. It's really sad and bizarre. It's not like going to any other football ground in the country or sporting event in general. The fun (or maybe even soul) has been sucked out of the club. It shouldn't be like this. I can't speak for other areas of the ground but I know a lot of these fans are die hards who go to a lot of away games etc as well.

My understanding is their cash imput is limited to £20m, not a penny more and if it can be less, those charged with running it have fullfilled the remit given to them.

The owners if they could shift it (i.e a buyer rolls in to ewood with proof of funds to both buy and sustain the club) they'd sell without hesitation. Will they actively state "its for sale" absolutely not, but the reality is, every club is for sale.

Let’s throw the cat amongst the pigeons, given it’s Saturday night and I’ve had a beer.

Over the last 8-10 weeks, I’ve somehow been in contact with (supposedly) investors and advisors to the current owners of an Australian football club who have significant investments in land, offices and commercial property across the land down under. They said they have investment (I’ve no proof) to the tune of circa 150M to spend on buying an English football club and are actively in the market to buy one as their main business expands into the UK. I was told Rovers where a club they had identified as a target. Why me, I hear you ask? I have no idea, other than they knew (very loosely) what BRFCS was and I was introduced as a “leading fan’s voice”, which I went along with for the ride

Via email (I have the receipts) and one slightly insane 30 minute conference call, I was asked about the potential of Rovers. On the call, they had a very simple mandate: They want a club they can increase the revenue of, has a link to Australia and doesn’t require “Billionaire money” to be successful.

I did a sales pitch - mostly because I’m so pissed off with Rovers - and explained that having any owners that weren’t Venky’s and gave a shit would increase fan attendance, the stadium needs investment but the most expensive bits are done, we have a very good academy on some expensive land (which they’d have to buy, too), we loved Lucas Neill and Brett Emerton (I chose to omit Vince Grella) and in my opinion “success” to the customers would be something the town could be proud of, not a top 6 Premier League competing club.

I’ve not heard anything in about 3 weeks now and I assume I won’t hear anymore, especially after posting this. There is of course the chance I was duped and equally, the chance they’re real but no better than our current owners.
But if an Australian consortium buy an English club for less than 150M in the next few years - or are in the mix to do so - they where interested (theoretically) in buying Rovers and I’ll name them at that point, although with some semi-decent googling I’m sure you can find out who the people are just from this post.

This chap did nothing but mither me on Twitter for weeks. Eventually I got quite sick of it and offered to meet him for a beer in any Salford pub. He told me to meet him at The Stocks Hotel at 5pm and against all sensible advice, I turned up at 4.30pm and sat there with a lime and lemonade until 6pm, at which point I decided he was all talk and potentially not even a real person. If anyone here is clout chasing, it’s “Martin”.

I bet the landlord loved you nursing a lime and lemonade for an hour and a half 😁

I know the Venkys never come to Ewood, but we hardly need owners Home and Away to replace them

Because we been told he's the Venkys man on the ground. Those names you listed were symptoms.

Good job 14 years was spent chasing them out then.

Venky’s “man on the ground” makes him just an employee of them, of which they have thousands. I just don’t understand how him deciding to eff off (v unlikely IMO) will lead to a collapse of the Venky regime. You only get so many chances to get the attention and motivation of the average fan, and I can’t see many being arsed about a bloke they’ve never heard of.

thanks for sharing Josh. very interesting and I'm sure we were linked before Venkys bought us to a possible Australia group/people buying us. Given our history will Aussie like Robbie Slater, Brett Emerton and Lucas Neill, then now with Miller, you can see why any Aussie Group would be interest in buying us.

And we have a current Australian international in our starting XI...

Read Glen's posts - he's not just a middle manager, he's been here from the start and this is seen as his baby.
