It's gone to, in no particular order:

  • HMRC
  • Staff wages
  • Electric company
  • Water company
  • etc

The owners aren't doing a Blackpool and syphoning money from the club, there's none to syphon.

That's not a defence of the owners, if anything it's saying they can't even do that right!

From the last accounts:

Turnover (Doesn't include player sales.)

Matchday inc season tickets/away fans/walk on 4.9

Media 9.4

Commercial 6.4

other 0.2

total 21.4 million

Wages and salaries 25.4

"other " operating expenses 13.2

total 38.6

Loss before player trading 17.2

player trading 21.2

So we made a profit that season of 3.3 million which would have gone  towards 24/25 operating expenses. We probably made a small loss last season which would be why i think 4 million or whatever was requested and sent over after the last court case in June 2025.

As Arbitro says the comment from Suhail on Wharton's fee says it all.

EVERYBODY knew that Adam was special and would thrive in the Premier League and Play for England.

Only someone who knew nothing about football could have reached any other conclusion.

So what's he doing in charge of a football club then?

We have no hope till he, at least, has gone.

Should of been in room, these are just minutes. I'm sure you can imagine what being in the room and what other things just slipped of the tongue

If "EVERYBODY" knew that I would have expected the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal to have come in for him when he was available for sale - instead it was Crystal Palace.

Of course, we hadn't thought of that.

How wrong we all are.

They would have done - had we hung on for 12 months!

Contrarianism isn't entertaining.

He will absolutely have been on their short/long lists. Crystal palace stole a march as they tend to do on championship stars.

Of course they knew 47er. Suhail isnt going to come out and say the owners saw the colour of the money and pocketed the cash is he!

So you agree with Suhail, nobody knew he was going to be a good player, Masher?

I presume you don’t as you have eyes, so do you now take back your comment that the club do not take the FF for mugs? Exhibit A in my paragraph above.

It's not "contrarianism" - it's looking at the facts and expressing an opinion founded in facts. You seem to have a problem with people expressing opinions you don't agree with.

I usually ignore your posts but the simple fact is that when he was sold there don't appear to have been any competing bids from bigger clubs able to offer higher fees. Yes, I could see he was a "good" player - ie one likely to make it at Premier League level.

Remember those silly snakes some fans took to Derby late last season…..perhaps they could be repurposed and reused as ‘Suhail Snakes’.  That would fit nicely with the clubs green agenda.

The only green agenda that lot have, is they think the fanbase, is as green as grass.

The NOBODY KNEW in the minutes referred to those at Ewood. Not other clubs.

So when asked why we sold Wharton for below market value, Suhail replies with "Nobody knew Wharton would be a good player at youth level".

Which is firstly pretty damning on the football people at Ewood, and secondly irrelevant to the question of selling for below market value.

I would imagine the football people knew full well how talented he was months before he made that start at Blackpool, and probably don't appreciate being framed as being a bit incompetent here.

When put on the spot, Suhail appears to be a bit of a car crash. That's a stupid answer.

I suspect the he doesn't want to just say the truth, we needed cash in the business as quickly as possibly so we were desperate sellers.

I can count the amount of disagreements I've had with forum members on one hand, I can't imagine you can say the same.

Wharton was obviously known to the clubs you mentioned. Them not buying him doesn't disprove that.

Well you're one up on Suhail then aren't you? But he's running a professional football club and you aren't.

However even at that stage Adam was more than just a "good player." Wouldn't hurt you to admit it!

It was a distressed sale at an extremely knockdown price to the only bidder in town at that particular point, probably because of PSR considerations not because of doubts over the player's talent.

But you know that already Im sure.

He's defending the sale Den. Not accepting he undersold. Justifying a cock-up.

Yes - it was obviously a distressed sale at a knockdown price - but bigger clubs than Crystal Palace didn't want to get involved even then.

Couldn't even wait a few months because Venkys aren't funding the club! Too stupid to see that it was an investment to hang on to him as long as possible.

That's always going to be the problem with distressed sales of anything.

The club’s version of the FF minutes are out on the official website.

Someone needs to get to that reporter chappie at the LT to ensure he has the correct version.

The story is no longer the minutes, it's the fact they can't be agreed.
