Ricky Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Just watched the whole thing. Don’t think there’s anything new that’s not been mentioned on here but good to hear it in one place rather than reading through the various back and forth messages to get the full story. Quote

StHelensRover Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Just listened to the entire Kidder St Podcast with Glen. Couldn't possibly get into all the ins and outs of what was said, but very well done to Glen, that was a great interview. Really enjoyed hearing about his own nostalgia and memories of Rovers, but thought on all the serious matters that he came across very well - professional, not stooping to insults, rumours, gossip. Very transparent and realistic. Good work. I hope the guy who runs that podcast can chop out some key points and get them drip fed into various social media sites to keep the conversation going and make fans aware. 1 Quote

I wasn’t there so no idea if it’s true. Can anybody confirm? What!? this is dreadful if true, i have just signed up to the membership for access into the blues bar before games.. What the hell is there going to be to watch before games? Its not the best as it is. Also last year we had membership cards for the blues bar, i was emailed by someone at the club saying i have to show my email of proof of payment to get in from now on, all seems a bit tinpot. Has anyone else had to show a confirmation email on entry to gain entry into blues bar on matchday? My first game is the norwich one. I imagine everything in the bars gone up in price for a worse experience in it than last season. That has annoyed me. Edited 9 hours ago by ruggles1995 Quote
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Several times Glen mentions how Pasha came across as aggressive and arrogant in his manner, talking down to those fans who were present at the Forum. That tells you everything you need to know about these gobshytes running our Club, unprofessional and not fit for purpose. How the hell do you converse and negotiate with individuals like that? What a mess we are in. 8 Quote
lraC Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I am not saying this relates to Rovers in any way, but how many of us on here were aware of this? 2023 Brazilian football match-fixing scandal - Wikipedia https://brazilreports.com/another-match-fixing-scandal-rocks-brazilian-soccer/6708/ Quote

rigger Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago In my opinion, it is not so much that some parts of the minutes had been censored, but that there shouldn't need to be censorship. I am not saying that this type of censorship has happened at previous meetings, but the opportunity for it to happen was there. People will now come to their own conclusions. Quote
Mattyblue Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I’d spotted on Twitter that Jackson had been tweeted to re the Blues Bar issue. Now, maybe I’ve watched too many films, but surely any journo worth his salt will be thinking - ‘Club that almost got in the PL play offs less than four months ago has voluntarily relegated it’s women’s side to playing clubs that sound like Soccerdome five a side teams, now they don’t even have Sky Sports showing in their, err, sports bar… there’s a thread here. 7 Quote

I got a reply from the club regarding no sky sports (personally I think they should be trying to make it a bit of a sports bar vibe with rovers historic pictures plastered everywhere, not sure i want to watch re runs of games and interviews we've already seen. 😞 Last season, because of the high subscription fees charged by Sky Sports, we had to introduce a matchday membership fee for access to Blues. To keep Sky Sports in Blues this season, the subscription costs would have been significant, meaning we’d have had to increase the price of membership. Instead, we want to make Blues accessible and affordable for all supporters. Over the summer we made the decision to switch to RoversTV, which allows us to remove the subscription charge while still offering great matchday value. We understand that some fans enjoy watching the 12:30pm and 5:30pm televised fixtures. For those supporters, Sky Sports will still be available in Jack’s Kitchen on a matchday, with access available as part of a £15 upgrade. In Blues, we’ll be showing classic Rovers matches and exclusive Rovers content before and after the game, creating a space that feels even more connected to the club. 1 Quote

MarkBRFC Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago So you can watch Sky Sports, but they are charging you £15 to go somewhere where you can watch it. Bloody hell. 2 Quote

Tomphil2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago They aren't creating a space that feels more connected to the club the are replacing something with a low cost fill in just like the team and everything else. Why do people fall for this shite. All they will do in the longer term is reduce their trade even more as people elect to go in or stay the boozers instead. The Labour party have more brains than this lot and the bar is as low as it can get there. 2 Quote

Old Rover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Good to see they are thinking of the fans and offering great matchday value. This will obviously be reflected in the price of a pint in there ? 1 Quote
arbitro Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago So one of the Blues Bar membership benefits include watching games involving Rovers that you could stay at home and watch on YouTube. I would certainly be looking at the t&c's and potentially asking for a refund. Surely if it's too expensive for the Blues Bar they can't afford it in other areas of the ground. Quote
Mattyblue Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Presumably when they went to cancel, Sky did their customary price drop offer… and said offer was still too expensive 😬 Quote
