Rarely do you see a manager blame not just the players but even the coaching staff.

A leader that seems very happy to blame others and throw them under the bus.

Throw under the bus? who has he throw under the bus?

one of the coaching staff is responsible for set pieces yet we have no-one back for that corner? who fault is that?

Am I mad or not - I swear my commentary said Val shouted for Tavares to take the corner

This was a really interesting moment actually, someone else was lined up for the corner (Ribeiro possibly?) and VI made a big deal about swapping them over but I thought at the time he looked really reluctant about it. His comments post game reinforce that feeling as his unhappiness about set pieces are surely crystallised by that corner. Do we think Ben Benson is still in charge of set pieces?

Ismael is the one with the final say on tactics. Also not a good luck to just pass the buck.

Ismael has in the space of 7 or 8 games gone from you wanting him out to him not being allowed to be questioned.

Is Val incapable of telling one more of his players to stay back?

Maybe the set piece coach had a play on that required a really crowded box. Where it fell down was the delivery of the ball. You can’t give people responsibility some of the time and take it away at other times on the spur of the moment. That’s how you undermines people. No doubt the set piece coach has had his card marked now.

With our lack of wide options, Cantwell's desire to play deeper and Ohashi's inability to be lead the line - would we not be better suited to a 4 3 1 2?

Now bear with me because it's a wild analogy and I acknowledge the huge gap in quality, but the Milan style 4 3 1 2 from 2007ish.

Toth

Alebiosu Hyam McLoughlin Ribiero

Tavares Tronstad Cantwell

[Insert option]

Kargbo Ohashi

A Dackesque option in the hole would round it off.  Or alternatively would Cantwell be allowed less defensive role if we got a proper midfield alongside Tavares and Tronstad

You mention this throw under the bus, so who did he throw under the bus and who else has thrown the bus? Travis you mean?

Let's not pretend that today's loss was purely down to a single set piece. Val gambled on sticking all our big lads on the pitch to try and see out a 1-0 win. You set up defensively, you invite pressure. We've seen it time and time again.

Coaches. Travis. Brittain.

And yes. I know that you think its great how "open and honest" he is.

you the first to moan and complain about wanting to know things then when our head coach was open and honest the Brittain situation which fans welcome and he was back with the squad playing.

on the Travis situation, he was asked a question and he gave the honest answer,

You need to make your mind up what you want open and honest answers from our head coach or you wanted him to keep things hidden and then you be whinging why you didn't get told the truth.

So which one do you want?

me and others welcome Ismael being open and honest about the Brittain and Travis situation and telling us supporters what the situation. If you don't want it then maybe ignore the comments and interviews about it

My issue has never been the manager not being "open and honest." You have made that up.

His comments blaming his staff in my opinion seem a bit ill advised and are the comments of a manager shirking responsibility. Mind you, my issue with Ismael is that I dont think that he is a good manager, very little to suggest he is.

Where do you stand on him? You wanted him sacked at one stage. Do you have any doubts that he is the man for the job?

Admittedly a difficult job working with poor players.

The buck stops with Ismael.

He has fully responsibility for training, coaching, team selection, tactics, structure and game management.

He was there on the touchline and could have ordered players back into position to cope with any potential Brum break - he didn't!

If he's not happy with the coaching staff then sack the feckers.

Already explained who that sacking thing and he turned last season bad spell around and we almost got the playoffs.

Where I did stand on him after 2 league games? really?

Some positives from today's game and we will get better. It wont be top 6 finish this season but it looking like a season of transition and league finish in mid table. If things click quickly and we sign a couple of quality of signings being the transfer window then things might be different, who knows.

Before you asked we need a right winger signing, another forward who can wide and up front and Travis's replacement. Please don't asked for any names as I am not professional scout and very little knowledge of the overseas markets so can't name who I would sign

He hasnt been at the club for 2 games.

Last season you made a judgement pretty early. Later in his Rovers career you are being evasive, just a simple question. What are your thoughts on Ismael? Why will we get better?

Im not sure why it is "looking like" we will finish in mid table. The transition line is another parroted one, more a season of losing loads of key players.

Yet again focusing on last season, its gone, I posted why I changed my opinion and yet that's your focus again, wonder why, suits your negative point of view.

I have told you my thoughts after 2 league games, yet you don't accept that opinion. Would I be happy and accept a mid table finish this season, yes I would. If we can sign a quality right sided attacking midfielder and forward who can play wide plus replacement for Travis then maybe we push for a playoffs. We see in May.

The desperation has kicked in, not only the club parrot but now just relentlessly going down the route of blasting negativity and moaning.

If you really rate Ismael then a simpler answer would be to just say so. All this other crap is totally unnecessary.

Is that the best you got RF99. Going on and on is what is unnecessary but you keep going on and on like a broken record day after day..

Desperation is all from you.

I gave you my opinion but then you come out with this same old bollocks and cliques all the time. So why do I seriously bothered. It's pointless

There is nothing open and honest about the whole club, be it the manager or anyone else.

They spout any old shit and hope some fall for it, which they still do, but in dwindling numbers.
