Because no manager can be genuinely be serious in their argument of “I’m leaving because I’ve not been backed” when they have us winning an handful of games in 40.

That's not what I was saying. I fully agree with him being sacked and his record deserves this outcome. My concern is that they didn't sack him based on results like at normal clubs. I suspect there was some bust up regarding transfers which resulted in him going whether he walked or Rudy felt undermined and sacked him. The timing was all v rapid. It came out of nowhere and Nicko who is clearly well connected didn't seem to think he was under threat until about 10 mins before the announcement. We are obviously not a normal club but surely if it was solely about results he would have been sacked on Saturday night so the focus could shift for a couple of days on finding new signings that might be wanted by the next manager.

Nixon on Lancs said it's been brewing for a while over transfers, saying playing the kids at Swansea was done to prove a point (although it did seem obvious to anyone).

Thats the it’s complicated reason.

Might find now he's gone that a number of injuries suddenly mysteriously clear up overnight.

How the FUCK is the least experience man in the building making decisions?  I know how, but it’s crazy that a guy with 16 months post his playing career is given absolute control over a club in the 2nd (for now) division. Ismael needed sacking but he’s only been sacked because he fell out with Gestede. Same reason why we shipped off half our side and gaffer that sat top 7th a year ago…they all I one way or another didn’t bend the knee to the all mighty Rudy.  Again a man who at that time had 6 months of executive experience.

Ismael should have known 1) he was only hired because and was working under an immature child playing football manager without a reset button and 2) for a club that hasn’t gotten the transfers right for 15 years.

Came out of nowhere? He literally said in his interview Saturday that he’d understand if they moved him on. He’s been failing for months.

Nicko also has a record of mistakes above facts. Whilst I agree there is nothing normal about Blackburn rovers, Ismael left because he’s shite. Just a shame it took till we’re effectively adrift for the morons above to notice.

His record meant he literally had no ground to stand on. Hence why I think the idea that there has been a bust up is nonsense.

If that's true, Ismael can go fuck himself.

People paid good money in tickets and travel for that and he's thrown the game to "prove a point".

Asshole.

JDT is not coming back after the way he left the club and Sparky would be an awful appointment.

Sparky has been a failure at every job he’s had after Rovers and there’s a reason he’s currently managing in the national league!

Exactly - it’s not even realistic shots in the dark. Twitter clickbait shite. Should never be shared here. Same with the supposed “rovers insider”…

Both examples of universal credit lads with time burning a hole in their pocket.

Hughes - no - his time has been and gone and he's managing in the National League. Wouldn't even get a mention in any conversation were it not for his links. It's almost at the point where I expect Carlisle would be grateful if we did take him off their hands given their faltering promotion bid.

JDT - ridiculous suggestion after what happened last time around.

Svensson - know nothing about him but a look at Wikipedia suggests nothing in over a year since a short failed spell at Union Berlin. Not at all sure there.

Wagner - maybe a bit of a huff about not getting the job last year when he was linked? Or maybe he's just a very astute bloke who can see what a disgrace this club is and wants nothing to do with it.

If I didn't know better I'd say they were prepping the ground work for an extended Johnson spell in charge. That's the cheap and easy option which is what this lot are all about. Some might be fine with that due to ex-player syndrome but I don't think we can be so flippant with our Championship status and that applies regardless of tomorrow's result in a must-win game.

Nixon mentioned something on Radio Lancashire after his ridiculous Souness suggestion about Lee Bowyer - I think he knows something there or has heard something. That's exactly the sort of name we'd be speaking to and he knows it.

“Ismael won’t be leaving because he’s doing the expected job”

1. Below average squad

2. Sat in relegation zone

3. History of selling best players without re-investment of funds

4. Owners aren’t interested

5. Player contracts rarely renewed

6. Inexperienced ex-player dictating decisions

7. Wage budget capped at unrealistic level

8. Arguably the best player (Tronstad) is going to walk on a free in a few months

Could go on, but there’s eight reasons why any manager who wants a career in football management wouldn’t want this club damaging their CV and career.

If JDT was willing to even contemplate a return they should crawl over on their hands and knees, admit they got it wrong and beg him to return on the promise of appointing a decent DOF of his choosing and a workable transfer and wage budget

As much as I'd want a JDT return, there is no way his style of football works with the players we have now.

It would be a disastrous appointment right now.
