MarkBRFC Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Talks "not progressing" on Sagnan is the most predictable thing in that article. 1 Quote
DutchRover Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Interesting the Jackson seems to think we are still after Sagnan. There can't be a release clause like we initially thought if the alleged bids from Sunderland are £4 million plus. Even if its just the agent drumming interest we would surely be out the running. I wonder if its the first sign of trouble between Ismael and the board; I'd guess he has a better read on French league players than us and he clearly wants a big strong left footed CB. I fear he will disappointed if this is the case... Quote
bluebruce Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Dunno if it's been mentioned, but De Neve appears to auto qualify for a work permit, with 18 points (15 needed). So he won't take up an ESC slot. 2 Quote

sharpysharps86 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Is this De Neve guy actually close to signing or is it like the previous fella where the advanced talks fell off a cliff as soon as it was mentioned? If it is legit then I do see some logic in bringing in another left sided player. Hedges is crap and Kargbo's hammys have a 90% chance of going every time he breaks into a sprint. Quote

Elliot saying that "internal discussions" have Hedges moving back over to the right wing next season, probably so they don't have to bother with a Dolan replacement. That's good news, I can hardly wait to see Hedges back flip, when he scores. Quote

Thank God Hedges is still a nailed on starter for us, he's such a quality player(!) Quote

I think Gestede said we want a right winger "to replace Cozier Duberry." Probably another untested kid on loan I suspect. Quote
DutchRover Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I thought Hedges was a right winger? He only moved to the left last season/under Eustace. He's never been fast enough to go outside his man and use left foot, and all his best games have come playing on the right and running diagonal lines. Don't want him to start, but it's not a surprise... Quote
jim mk2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Dolan to leave so Hedges to start. Money in (maybe) and none spent. Bingo! The Venky's model 1 Quote

roversfan99 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Says in the Lancashire Telegraph that there is still no contract offer on the table for Travis. With mention of his wedding! Absolutely no excuse to get into these situations, theres always an excuse. Mid way through the season, dont know what division we will be in, focusing on signing players, a bloody wedding. Tying down key players long term is as important as anything. 4 Quote

DutchRover Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago LT reporting the Travis links now, I worry that is the first step by the club before we sell him Quote

They would be better off coming out and admitting that talks haven't started because they don't want them to. Trav, Tronstad, Hyam and Brittain are all the wrong profile for this club. Experienced, "old", high wages, and proven at this level. They want that lot out, to be replaced with 20-24 year old French, Belgian, Dutch players who will be on at the most half of that lot's wage. Then they will all be sat around scratching there heads as to why when we plunge into a relegation fight. Edited 2 hours ago by MarkBRFC 4 Quote
