Hopefully can prove to be a good signing and we can keep Tronstad and Travis and have some proper competition in there. Good to get him in early and hopefully more follow soon.

Surprised that hes only on a 3 year deal with no option. Perhaps a small indication that the fee is indeed smaller than advertised?

We don't seem to commit to anything beyond three years - another indication that at some point the club is going to be wound up I think.ย

Holy drama! Theyโ€™ll have to wind it up before they activate the new ladโ€™s additional year option.

I guess it comes down to whether there are three teams worse than Rovers next season. Don`t think Birmingham or Wrexham are two of them.

Its not just the lack of a proper budget, its the failure to tie decent Championship players down to anyย  reasonable contracts post Broughton. This neurotic obsession with cutting the wage bill!

Whatever VI certainly has his work cut out.

Sheffield Weds have to be nailed on for relegation. No idea how strong the other two promoted L1 sides are - Wrexham will stay up.ย

Robbie Cotton, whatever happened to that kid?

I knew him growing up. Technically a very talented player. Unfortunately hung around with some bad influences.

Tavares, De Neve and Forshaw getting a full pre season is superb!.l

It's vital to keep Tronstad...think Travis will leave.

Brittain an important piece of the jigsaw will surely sign a new deal anytime soon.

In terms of where Tavares is at. Am I right in thinking he has only ever made 15 senior starts? Perhaps he will be more pushing as initially 3rd choice, although that I suppose that depends on either keeping or directly replacing Tronstad and Travis.

Whenever has there ever been a โ€œplanโ€, has there fuck!

Under this lot, never, obs. However, many of us can remember the days right back to the 70s when there was a plan, much less money to go round, far less ego, and much more of a focus on doing the best for the club and the town. The venksters don't even pretend to be interested in the club anymore, and are a blight on the name of football in this country.

VENKSTERS OUT!

Google him - went to Porto for ยฃ20m a few years ago (now at Forest). He's 25. I'd be flabbergasted.

That means nothing, Cantwell was being touted at 20 million a few years ago too.

What matters more is what Forest paid for him, which was only a year ago. Which as far as I can see was 11 million Euros, plus potentially 4 mill in add ons. He hasn't played for them even once, so those add ons won't have been hit. There is also a 10% sell on clause, dunno if that's after profit or what, but could affect an asking price too if it's on any amount.

They immediately loaned him out to Olympiakos, which makes it a bizarre signing given his age, but Forest do seem to like to buy people for no reason. But yes at that figure it seems highly unlikely they would sell him to us, as there's no way we could give them even half their money back. A loan, however, might not be beyond the realms of possibility.

ย Being touted for a price and actually sold for a price are two different things entirely. Cantwell went for less than 2million and this fella has over 30million worth of transfer fees paid for him

he will play in a top division and his wages letโ€™s not even get started on thoseย

It should be a bannable offence posting a picture of that detestable cretin (no, not Robbie Cotton)

Have some decency and blur his fucking face or something
