100% Ismael won’t be here at the end of next season.

Just asked ChadGPTΒ

Ismael will stay, he has players of the profile he wants coming in, low wages relegation from foreign league fodder, but the right profile so don’t judge yet. Losing a member of coaching staff all part of the project. Get behind the lads ffsΒ

Hoping we get 1-2 deals done on players in before the Spain trip.Think I’m setting myself up for disappointment. We are so behind the curve. Hate watching our competitors being active. But hey In the mean time all they promote is merchandise and tickets. I can’t run fast enough to purchase πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

The priority position for new signings might just have changed. I have been told Hayden Carter is out for five weeks as a result of his 'cramp' at Accrington.

That leaves Hyam and Wharton as our centre halves with any experience and Wharton is having his game time carefully managed.

How we could do with a player like Danny Batth right now...........oh wait a minute.

I posted somewhere else on this, but from where I was sat at Accrington, it looked Carter had pulled his hamstring to me.

I was on the other side and couldn't tell but there didn't seem any immediate concern from the doctor and physio who both ambled on to the pitch. I thought Ismael's description of cramp seemed misguided, I mean how many professional athletes get cramp after after half an hour.

I like Carter but his injuries are a real source of frustration. Last season he had two lengthy spells out with knee and calf injuries and now a hamstring problem.

On a separate note I noticed the regular physio, Andy Proctor wasn't there on Saturday.

Massimo Luongo is training with Millwall. He is an experienced Championship central midfielder who won two promotions with Ipswich recently.

He is 32 though and won't fit the latest 'project' we seem to have burdened ourselves with.

I’m certainly not envious of Millwall giving some sort of trial to a bloke who turns 33 in September because he has a promotion under his belt 2 years ago.

Doesn’t fit the bill for Ismael and throwing money down the drain

Think they fly out on Sunday, no chance they get a couple through the door by then.

I can't imagine anyone above Ismael is too bothered.

Atcheson will get some good minutes now and probably be thrust into the side at the start of the season.

Call up Litherland to make up the numbers in Spain.

It was obvious it wasn’t cramp. I wonder if Chaddy will be big enough to admit he was wrong ?

Atcheson isn’t ready. I’d give Pickering a go there before any of the young players.

Everybody apart from the powers that be above Ismael would agree with that.

Pickering I quite liked at centre half in a back 3, think he would struggle massively in a back 4 though.

But we signed 33 year old Adam Forshaw received who I don't think is as good as Luongo.

I didn't mention him because of his recent success at Ipswich but because he is a steady Championship performer.

Some of our best players recently have been McFadzean, Batth and Weimann.

To be fair, he does normally hold his hands up, when obviously wrong.

I agree. I thought Atcheson looked really raw on Saturday. He’s a big lad but a bit slender, he seems to be easily brushed off the ball. Litherland I like but he would be equally raw.

Just been told that Andy Proctor was at the Accrington Match.Β

Thanks Carl.

I thought it was odd that he didn't go on to treat Carter.

Indeed, should have been signed up for a further year midway through last season. With regards to Carter, his injuries are becoming a real worry.

Carter immediately felt the back of his leg. At one point it looked like he was ready to carry on before he eventually walked off quite gingerly. Maybe that’s why the physio didn’t come on.Β
