Popular Post Bbrovers2288 Posted 14 hours ago Popular Post Posted 14 hours ago Apart from the coyle season this is the second time in history I donβt look forward to the season starting, itβs like the feeling of dread before going to the dentist, you know itβs going to be painful . Genuinely taking a step back and just keeping an eye on proceedings from afar, if I get too caught up in this nonsense it will drive me potty. Popular Post arbitro Posted 6 hours ago Popular Post Posted 6 hours ago The priority position for new signings might just have changed. I have been told Hayden Carter is out for five weeks as a result of his 'cramp' at Accrington. That leaves Hyam and Wharton as our centre halves with any experience and Wharton is having his game time carefully managed. How we could do with a player like Danny Batth right now...........oh wait a minute. 15 Quote
roversfan99 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago We need to sign 2 centre backs. 1 isnt enough considering how much of a sick note Carter is added to Wharton being out for so long. Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago So so predictable something like this would happen but it's just sooner rather than later. Which academy lad can they throw in now ? 1 Quote

I was on the other side and couldn't tell but there didn't seem any immediate concern from the doctor and physio who both ambled on to the pitch. I thought Ismael's description of cramp seemed misguided, I mean how many professional athletes get cramp after after half an hour. I like Carter but his injuries are a real source of frustration. Last season he had two lengthy spells out with knee and calf injuries and now a hamstring problem. On a separate note I noticed the regular physio, Andy Proctor wasn't there on Saturday. 1 Quote
arbitro Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Massimo Luongo is training with Millwall. He is an experienced Championship central midfielder who won two promotions with Ipswich recently. He is 32 though and won't fit the latest 'project' we seem to have burdened ourselves with. Quote

Iβm certainly not envious of Millwall giving some sort of trial to a bloke who turns 33 in September because he has a promotion under his belt 2 years ago. Doesnβt fit the bill for Ismael and throwing money down the drain Quote

Atcheson will get some good minutes now and probably be thrust into the side at the start of the season. Call up Litherland to make up the numbers in Spain. Quote
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Atcheson isnβt ready. Iβd give Pickering a go there before any of the young players. Quote

I didn't mention him because of his recent success at Ipswich but because he is a steady Championship performer. Some of our best players recently have been McFadzean, Batth and Weimann. Heβs a big lad but a bit slender, he seems to be easily brushed off the ball. Litherland I like but he would be equally raw. 1 Quote

With regards to Carter, his injuries are becoming a real worry. 1 Quote

Carter immediately felt the back of his leg. At one point it looked like he was ready to carry on before he eventually walked off quite gingerly. Maybe thatβs why the physio didnβt come on.Β 2 Quote
