Initial Gueye reaction is oh no followed by we have just signed a guy with a long throw and we are selling the guy whose head will be aimed for...

Then realisation Gueye won't be starting unless Ohashi is injured.

There is no doubt Gueye is a cult figure who has bonded incredibly well but let's see what the offer is.

Probably one of the must gutting bits of news since Szmodic left. Brittain was an intrinsic part to the team just others don't follow suit now.

Didn't Alf Ramsey say something similar to Jack Charlton ?

"I don't necessarily pick the best players, I pick the best team,"

Alf's words when Jack questioned Alf over his inclusion in the 1966 World Cup squad.

I seem to remember a night match at Ewood when the crowd was calling for the introduction of wee winger Johnny Price to give us some width and balls into the box - Johnny was introduced but our 6 feet 4 inches centre forward (John O'Mara) was taken off!

Don’t hate the players, hate the game. Unless the β€˜players’ are the Rao family. I hate them.Β

Anything in the Bali Mumba rumour?Β

We have been linked with. Us and Pompey I think. Would be an amazing signing if true.Β

That’s not gonna happen with Miller signing.Β

Plymouth see him as a right winger now. But I’d agree I still don’t think it will happen.

Could be the RW we need, versatile to play RB as well.Β
Β

would rather have a RW who could also play LW to be able to swap flanks if needed

If some 'golden generation' England managers had heeded those words we might have won something again by now.

I don't agree there's a deliberate plan to get us relegated.

There's no plan of any kind but to continue to exist for some reason without any end point in mine.

They simply don't care.

I actually think the scenario is they are prepared to sail as close to the wind as possible in order to keep the ship afloat but if/when the inevitable happens they'll find something else to blame it on.

Have I gone to bed and woke up and suddenly every thinks Gueye is Zlatan !

I wouldn’t sell him due to the lack of options and he’s a handy plan B, but talk of Β£4mill to Β£6million is bonkers.

Ismael didn’t fancy him at all at the end of last season, and he didn’t start a game after mid-March.Β

One point is that young fans will have no hero's to bond with if we carry on like this. They no sooner love Β a player than Β he's off.

They adore Gueye. Gotta keep these kids onside.

If a new RW is playing on the LW, that means Hedges is starting at RW. A sobering thought.

Miller and Bali Mumba would cover RB, CB and RWΒ

These two would be amazing business. Won’t happen 🀣

Could mean that De Neve plays inverted on RW to make room for overlapping fullbacks and the new RW does the same.Β

I dont think Mumba is anything special, often shunted around in various positions, usually either full back.

We need a right winger who is going to play in that position and can give us a goal threat and some pace. Not someone who can be a jack of all trades.

In my opinion he has more of the attributes to make him a great right winger.
