Feel like the manager, recruitment team and board are all on the same page for the first time in a loooooong time!Β

It does feel different,it's the most important factor.Β

Ismael doesnt seem happy about the contract situation.

No, but he said it was down to past mistakes, ie not Gestede.Β

I don't know mate was Steve Kean not aligned with the board?

I get where your coming fromΒ  as its disheartening losing good managers due to fallouts with the way the club is being run but the manager and board here being aligned means the manager can have us losing most weeks and relegationΒ  candidates and keep their job no matter the results

Obviously I'm hoping that Ismael will bring in the results but I don't want another person towing the party Line if the players brought in don't show enough quality after a bit of timeΒ

That's one way of looking at it, but Ismael doesn't strike me as someone who suffers fools.Β

Only reason I said it was because Hackney didn’t want to go Ipswich.Β

Going to Porto, according to X. One things for sure, Boro will strengthen regardless if they see an opportunity. Our lot won’t. Yet social media fans will keep telling me we’ve net strengthened this season. I simply cannot see it.Β

Gestede appeared to think it was perfectly fine to wait until we knew what division we are inΒ

We couldn't have agreed a wage increase with them if we got promoted?Ultimately it is on the owners but honestly this guy is a real bullshitter or has no understanding of how the club has been run into the fn ground.Plus I'm uncomfortable with the way our recruitment is going ,practically solely based on buying cheap punts from abroad and now being linked with player's with questionable fitness records.Plus Baradji and the swede have predominantly played centre midfield and Taveres and Foreshaw other midfielders it doesn't take a genius to work out that at least Travis and Buckley if they can find a buyerΒ  will be moved on .

We are losing battle hardened experience for players that even if they do turn out to be decent it will take time for them to bed in and with the amount of them gel

I took what Ismael said as before he himself came to the club. Not a deflection from Gestede.

Contract extensions have gone out of the window under him.

I didn't,it didn't come across like that.Β

I was at that replayed game at Cambridge- horrible evening apart from Colin's strike.

To be honest we got battered - deserved to lose.

Going there for a night match was the Div 2 equivalent of when Arsenal had to go to Stoke year-after-year. Luckily we only had to go once!!

I was basing it on you saying 3 including Miller. Then naming yet another squad with 5 new signings.

As ever, you move the goalposts and start going off on tangents.

I have addressed this point several times FFS. Time to move on RF99.Β

Brave kid. Love that young English players are brave enough to go abroad now.

But gestede was here?Do you think Ismael would agree with Gestede that we couldnt start contract talks because you didn't know what division you would be in?They had 2 years left so of course Ismael must be including Gestede?

Am I right in thinking this is the extent of the transfers thus far?

In
Sidney Tavares
Dion de Neve
Ryan Alebiosu
Sean McLoughlin

Out
JRC
Danny Baath
Tyrhys Dolan
Andreas Weimann

So, given the expenditure perhaps exceeding income, as far as anyone can make out, (not taking into account wages saved), we will need to sell to either a) balance the books as they stand b) before we think of bringing anyone else new in. That would lead to the conclusion that there will likely be selling of assets ie one or all of Brittain, Travis, Tronstad.

All guesswork of course.

Im not sure of the exact figures but presumably we'll be substantially in pocket once Brittain is finalised.

What you've written above also presumes that it's not acceptable to ever have a positive net spend on transfers.
