Good lord.

Rats deserting a sinking ship.

Sadly it ain't the rats that are deserting

It's players who can see the writing on the wall with our ownership structure, and are quite rightly trying to better themselves via a wage increase and/or with a club that has ambitionsย

It's all going wrong for you isn't it Suhail you slippery cuntย

If he could move to Hull heโ€™d be handy for the ferry.

Since we're playing Hull away on the 23rd of August, he could probably get a lift there with the team bus, unless Waggot did not receive it as his parting gift.

I can assure Rovers fans that if Travis came to Derby he would be on a MAX 18 kย

all the rhetoric from your management is quite frankly just to cover up their inability to fund the team.ย

and youโ€™re manager throwing him under the bus is disgusting for a long serving academy player

Thank you for the insight.ย

It's no surprise that Trav is being portrayed as the villain, it's been in the playbook for anyone who wouldn't agree a new contract and has subsequently left.

We'd like to think people are catching wise to it, but sadly, there's more sand in the Blackburn area than I'd originally accounted for...

Donโ€™t think Hyam would be hard to replace, never stood out to me as anything but an ok cb, need a real leader a captain at the backย

As I've said a few times already Rudy wants an entirely fresh start, new team, new management, new behind the scenes loyal folk - everything everywhere.

Won't work. It will finish the club off.

Lunatics in charge of the asylum. Buckle up.

If weโ€™re only matching players salaries then Iโ€™m not surprised their heads are turning when clubs like Boro and Derby are offering more.

Fair play to them and rightfully should be telling Venkys to fuck off.

The problem is, again, they aren't willing to pay the fees required for players that are an improvement.

Thanks for the response. You seem more clued up on us than a large section of our fan base.

Could you also please contact Mr E. Jackson at our local excuse for a newspaper/media outlet (the Lancashire Telegraph and educate him on that?)

So who exactly are we building a team around?ย

A bunch of cheapos from relegated clubs in minor foreign leagues. I'm sure that'll work out just fine.ย

Hedges might be a decent pickup as a squad player for a team at the lower end of the division. Probably wouldn't be able to afford him until his contract expires next year though, as one imagines whatever he's getting at Rovers are unlikely to be matched by the type of club he's likely to attract.ย

Whilst I do not disagree with most of your post, I think you probably need to reconsider what Derby are offering in wages these days.ย  Fans of all clubs like to think that their that their club runs a tight ship when it comes to wages andย  that people people in charge of their club couldn't possibly be silly enought o pay such high wages.ย  However, the wage bills in the clubs accounts show a different story.

Derby posted a wage bill of ยฃ19.6M in their latest accounts, this would have been covering your stay in League 1, and if you think that wage bill will will not have gone up by a minimum of 50% since your promotion, then Derby must be unique... spoiler, they are not.

Morris was a premier league player recently, he will not be on less than ยฃ20K/week.ย  The American who you brought in for big money will also be on more than you suspect

None of which means that Rovers are not lowballing their own players & behaving in a disgraceful way towards their own players staff & fans though, all facts of which we are all (well most of us) painfully aware

Would you increase your wage budget if employees were not achieving goals and the costs were increasing?

Combined with lack of funds to "plug a hole" this ownership is becoming extremely difficult and will end in misery.ย

What worries me about this managed decimation of our team is that we are going to be losing a hell of a lot of experience, for all of the shortcomings of the various players involved.

Struggling to see anything but relegation as it stands.ย

I would take a look at the senior leadership and wonder why costs were increasing but our goals were not being achieved.

With that said, this assumes the goal is to get promoted. Waggott already said during JDT's time that the aim is to develop players and plod along in the division.ย

I'd bet my last dollar that when the next yearly financial statements roll around we'll still have wages around ~ยฃ25m, a wage to turnover ratio of ~130% and a magical yearly loss of "ยฃ20m".

Could have our under 5s as our starting 11 and the above wouldn't budge.

Yeah "no pressure on results" was the phrase wasn't it?

Carlton Morris's wage at Luton Town isย ยฃ520,000 annually.ย This translates to roughly ยฃ10,000 per week.ย This salary was for the 2023-2024 season, when Luton Town was in the Premier League.ย
