I sincerely hope the manager, does not experience the frustrations that JDT and Eustace did, with players apparently signed,, but then a mystery wayward E Mail or late E Mail, scuppers it.

It is only a difficult market, when you are searching in the bargain bucket, or do not have enough money to attract the right quality. All other teams, seem to be doing okay.

If nobody else was signing players, the description of the market would stack up. But when Saturdays opponents who are under a transfer embargo can bring in (on paper) better signings than us then you have to question things.Β

They'll be spending A LOT on wages for those free agents.Β

And that, unfortunately, is the problem. We clearly don't have a pot to piss in - despite having billionaire owners.Β

Oh I know that, which highlights how poor the 'package' is we're willing to offer, we can't even compete with fee free deals.

As ever the board have Champagne Taste but want to pay Brown Ale money, it was ever thus and to coin another well worn phrase, you pay peanuts....... you get monkeys

Clubs want paying for players, and players want standard Championship wages.

How dare they.

Does this mean we should accept the DCFC bid for Travis or risk having an unhappy player for 12 months?

Derby should pay what we want for the said player.

Like we should do to other clubs for there players instead of crying that everything is too hard and "strange".

If they can offer 'life changing' money to Travis, they can offer us a fair price for our captain. Or they can fuck off.

Imagine if Derby wait until deadline day, but then mess up the paperwork on Travis,

I don’t know of any other club doing that once, let alone twice, although to be honest, I maintain it was a smokescreen really.Β

Funny how, despite insisting only one more player is being brought in, Ismael constantly talks in the plural about incomings.Β Β

Because he knows folk are leaving.

Absolutely... if anyone wanted an insight into the lengths and depths this regime will go to to arse cover and deflect the blame those two sorry, shameful recent episodes in our history are up there with the best of them.

We've had a very high turnover in players over the years and yet the only ones that face 'admin errors' are those that require the club to commit to substantial costs. Convenient. Another example of this club apparently facing 'issues' and 'difficulties' and 'strange things' that no other club ever comes up against.Β

They are good at lying. I think most sensible people can work out there's a pattern here and it all leads back to the regime.Β

They must think the fanbase is totally stupid. But then again with the views of some supporters and an ever compliant local media lining up to swallow and regurgitate whatever rubbish they serve up I can hardly blame them for trying.Β

Might well be a "good man". Not that you would have any idea either way from a few posts on a message board.

He is 100% on X though and I do find his take of all players leaving being "rats and snakes" and everything this regime do is wonderful very strange though. Also disagreeing with everything the Coalition is trying to do.

So again, I do wonder who this chap really is.

Am I imagining things but up to and including JDT, wasn't unleaded very supportive of the Head Coach and extremely anti the regime and very critical of the way the recruitment department operated ? (Which I agreed with)

But ever since Eustace came in it seems that in unleaded's eyes, everything Eustace wanted to do was wrong and everything Gestede and Owen etc do or want to do is right?

Very odd. I actually thought someone had hacked his account at first but he has a pretty unique posting style so it does actually appear it is the same person.

100%

I do wish Jackson would stop writing spoon fed nonsense offered up to him by the Club. As I said last week - it really isn't helpful.

"Strange" market indeed.Β

Hmmmphh.

Do you want him to lie about what the manager and club officials have said instead?

No.

All he needs to say is "Vi gives an update on Rovers progress in the transfer market" And then let other people make their own mind up as to whether Vi is talking absolute tosh or not.

Not "Vi gives his thoughts of Rovers progress in what has been a difficult and challenging market" implying that he agrees with him and everyone should feel sympathy..

Why do you keep defending him? Is he a mate of yours?

You have a strange understanding of the job of a local journalist.

Besides, he is quoting the manager. He is not saying it himself.

Plenty of issues with the club, Elliott Jackson isn’t one of them.

Also we've bought in zero attacking players since you had a good at me for complaining about the lack of numbers and quality in that area.

Just saying.

Last season when we had a 6'5" CF.

Why didn't they tailor their play to his strengths then ?

Only guy under instruction to cross was Brittain looks of it.

We haven't had a crosser since Craig Conway, - Sorba Thomas and Ryan Giles could but ended up not doing and you have to ask yourself why.

Club blueprint from above.

Didn’t have a go at you for that.Β

I joked that it was a silly comment about our squad being incomplete just a week or two into the window. All club squads are.

Silly whataboutism. Like I said, plenty to be angry about. The local journo is not one.

To be fair to Jackson and the LET the story has been reported and edited correctly. The "strange" in the headline is in quotes to show it is attributable and not a comment.

Jackson could of course do an opinion piece on Rovers' performance in the transfer window so far - and whether the club has been truthful or not.Β
