It might be because I’m a bit deflated and out of the loop these days, but does this window feel different? Lots of business done across the leagues way ahead of deadline day so not much fuzz today. Can I say I kinda miss the transfer day chaos? Not the fax-induced PTSD or the like, but just the buzz that used to follow deadline day. Will he stay? Will he sign? Any «secrets»?  Today….nothing. Just this stupid Isak/Wissa deal in the PL. Would love to see us do a «marquee» signing, but all signs point to a definite NO…just like the previous gazillion windows. Is it just me or does football kinda suck these days?

Doubt the loan deal would include a recall clause until January, but certainly next year that will be the plan. If we do shift Hyam today I reckon we'd get a loan and Miller would become the starter.

I am far, far from Hyam's biggest fan but to sell him now would be utter madness and would be pretty much proof for me that our owners/"advisor" are keen to send us down this season.

Selling anyone today (except Leonard) would be a disaster unless the replacement in in the building and signing when we sell. 

Even then we don't have a good track record on deadline day...

If we could get £3m - £4m for Hyam in the last 12 months of his contract, then it’s a great deal.

But the fact it’s on deadline day and we all know we won’t get a competent replacement in, we can’t let him go this late.
