You’d be dumb enough not to like hyam. Played every single minute last season and so far this season as well. Didn’t put a foot wrong last season.

Being an ever present is impressive but to say he didn’t put a foot wrong is nonsense, he makes lots of mistakes and is probably a lower end Championship standard player. Although selling him at this point would be utter madness, of course.

Fuck it let’s sell em all, be a laugh on League one again

If it happened watch for the 'I'm enjoying it in this league because we win and score goals, not really fussed about promotion' posts. Oh and due to attendance figures decreasing, your ticket price soaring. 🙂

That's good because we're a lower end championship side

Nah, what I'm saying is I wouldn't have been against it if they were going at least use some of the funds to strengthen elsewhere like up front... Because we have cover at CB.

I get you're frustrated, we've won 1 in 4 but at least try to see what people are saying. We can't keep letting millions of pounds worth of players walk out the door every season. What I'm saying is it's too late to reinvest it anyway.

The pattern of the board has been to sell players this summer who aren't signing contract renewals. I expect the same to happen with Hyam.

We need to pull a rabbit out of the hat to get a solid replacement in within the next few hours if that's the case. Throw money at Kapuadi, perhaps?

Shows how desperate this once great football club is these days.

Or give Hyam a pay rise rather than expecting him to sign on the same terms?

If we sell Hyam we will have lost six players this summer with a total of 1,023 Blackburn Rovers appearances 😳

Hyam - 135

Travis - 264

Buckley - 169

Brittain - 113

Dolan - 210

JRC - 132

All part of the plan.

Do you think Nixon has influenced many signings throughout his time as a journo.. I feel as though he is literally playing football manager..

x will be a good fit at y so i will make an article - clubs pick up on this and think hmmm. we've had worse ideas... thus making him look semi respected when he ends up being right.

Lunacy, sheer lunacy.
They're probably trying to see if there's any last minute bites for Tronstad too. Championship experience? Why do we want that when we can bring in some more untested kids from overseas for half the wages.

Yes, see the ‘selling him would be madness’ part of my comment. Let’s not pretend that he’s some special player though.

Apparently that's what we've offered. As usual, when a player gets into the last year of their contract, they know they can play the waiting game and get a better contract without commanding a transfer fee in a year's time.

I think accepting a bid for Hyam must certainly ride on knowing if we can get a replacement through the door in time.

I think he was fine last season, but for me he's never proven he can step up if he doesn't have a better player next to him.

Agreed, Im not a particular fan of Hyam, BUT even I would say that selling him at this stage of the window would be spectacularly suicidal just for the sake of pocketing a couple of million.

If it happens we'll probably get a short term loan in then the money will be pocketed and a long term replacement will be conveniently forgotten about come the next window.

Just as a permanent replacement for Travis will be forgotten about when Baradji goes back.

Has the snake clan gained another member? Absolute disaster, won’t lie I am not even angry I’m just bored of the ownership. Relegation is inevitable

The same pay ie a pay cut.

That would be sensible but then perhaps they think they can manage until January with what they have similar to the midfield situation.

Hyam is an unspectacular but steady championship centre half, steady being the key word, it would be stupid to let him go now.

Wharton isn’t up to the task and Carter is a crock sadly.
