davulsukur Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Is this like a post-season tournament or a pre-season tournament? I noticed that Chelsea subbed on Liam Delap the other night, who they obviously only signed shortly before. Quote
jodrell Posted June 18 Posted June 18 If anyone wants you can download load a. Free version of the DZAN site and watch all the games . Quote
Ianrally Posted June 18 Posted June 18 Who is this tit of a commentator on the Real Madrid v Al Hilal game? Quote “The home fans are making a great noise”. Sorry? One team is from Spain and the other from Saudi Arabia and the match is being played in Miami. I thought I saw Salgado in the stand. Quote
speeeeeeedie Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I watched a good game last night. Bayern beat Boca Juniors 2-1. It was end to end stuff with Bayern wining it late thanks to a nice Olise finish. Kane scored first for Bayern. Boca's equaliser was a really good goal. The game was a full house in Miami. Boca fans never stopped signing and chanting. 1 Quote
Rogerb Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Weather in the form of thunderstorms and extreme heat playing havoc with this tournament. A for runner of problems for the world cup. Fans in 40 degree centigrade heat with no shade. Quote
roverandout Posted June 21 Posted June 21 I'd like to see uefa pull away from fifa and give them a big eff u. Fifa will learn that the world cup isn't a world cup without big European nations. We could have a euros every two years. There's only Brazil and Argentina worth bothering with outside of Europe. This will show fifa's greed doesn't control European football Quote

1874 Posted July 1 Posted July 1 (edited) How could a club be world champions when the Champions of England, Spain, Italy and even Saudi Arabia are not involved. I have quite enjoyed watching the South American/Mexican sides Edited July 1 by 1874 Quote

It’s surprising what a change of ethos can do. They played Madrid off the park last night. I’ll need a 2 goal start to back Chelsea. Edited Thursday at 08:48 by Tyrone Shoelaces Quote

Some pundit was on US TV a couple of seasons ago, it may have been Thierry Henry. They were lamenting the perennial failures of PSG. The sheikh's who own them wanted flash and glamour so they'd been buying up star after star and getting nowhere. Their point was that they should scrap it and start again with young French players. They didn't go that far but did go with youth, expensive ones, but it's worked out. Their ability to press is excellent, and they are all good enough footballers that they can receive the ball anywhere and not worry. As for Real I think Mbappe is one of many problems. He didn't play all tournament yet comes back in for the final and does nothing. He has a penchant for sulking too. 2 Quote
Bronzed A Donis Posted Sunday at 16:08 Posted Sunday at 16:08 In all likelihood we've just had 60+ games during the heat and pre/post season. To tell us what we already knew a week before it started. The best club side in the world are PSG. The money men will be happy though. Quote

In fairness the present European champions winning it also makes a mockery of it, as it is what usually happened under the old format (that was done in a week / two games for Europeans!). Quote
