Swansea sack Sheehan. They're a point ahead of us, albeit with us having a game in hand.

I've never heard of him tbh.

Their list of potential replacements at the top of the betting looks rather higher quality than ours was.

Carrick, O Neill, Rodgers and Gerrard.

They're welcome to Ismael and we'll take the 2.5 years compo.

None of them are going to Swansea.

We'll have to wait and see.

You might be right in that they're all Lee Carsley style early favourites to relieve mug punters of some money.

I could see Gary O'Neil at Boro or Southampton.

JDT maybe at Swansea I could see

Think clubs should be looking at Lincoln's head coach Michael Skubala or Stockport's Dave Challinor

I feel a bit sorry for these two; ESPN: Pompey fans banned for impersonating stewards.

2 brothers have been fined £700 each and are subject to a 3 year banning order for impersonating stewards at the Southampton v. Portsmouth match in September.

They donned high-viz vests with "steward" on them, and had walkie talkies.

I thought that it was quite inventive.

That's how five of us got into Reading festival back in the late 80s 😁

Tough gig that for JDT at Norwich, not sure I'd fancy him leading a relegation battle at a new club. Unless it's more of a long term 'project' 🙄

Me neither but they do have some decent players .

Last I heard , he had withdrawn from the process !

Interesting choice. Quite high profile for a club struggling at the bottom of the Championship with Club Brugge, Monaco and Rangers his last 3 clubs

Norwich set to appoint Phillippe Clement as their new gaffer.

Holy Cow.

Gut reaction says that will be an absolute disaster.

Edit:

Can't imagine the news will be well received by the Norwich fanbase.

by March he will be gone and they will be at panic stations.

If they go down it'll be an absolute fire sale - good players just been totally mismanaged the past season or so. if we survive we should definitely be sniffing should Norwich have a howler of a season

Sounds like JDT wasn't happy with the "project" on offer and the potential financial support available before he even started this time.

Devil's advocate mode on:

Is he the Championship equivalent of "a cheque book manager?"

O Neill needs to be careful as well. As various managers including Allardyce have noted, once you're out of work, it doesnt take long before the phone stops ringing.

Edit: And O Neill doesn't have anything like the track record of an Allardyce to justify being so picky.

I think JDT needs to be careful where he goes next, 2nd season at rovers was poor and Sweden tenure an utter disaster. He needs his next appointment to be perfect or his career will sadly start to diminish.

He's neither a promotion specialist (Warnock type) or a relegation avoider (Allardyce type)

I'd avoid the English game altogether for now and re coup with less pressure and re build confidence if I was him.
