Tyrone Shoelaces Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I like that trip to Accy. It’s usually a good day out visiting a friendly local club. 2 Quote
Mattyblue Posted July 6 Posted July 6 (edited) Might be one of their biggest crowds this season, as much smaller away followings in L2 compared to L1 as they’ll have noticed last season. No Bradford filling two stands either… bet Oldham fetch plenty there though. Edited July 6 by Mattyblue Quote
arbitro Posted July 6 Posted July 6 The forecast is a hot, sunny day with temperatures of 25° by kick off. Factor 25 might be the order of the day for Rovers fans on the open end or IMEP Stand. The upside is that Stanley should sell plenty of beer. Quote

Mattyblue Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Yet obviously a club that is a giant in comparison couldn’t possibly offer something similar, because, well, ‘we can’t’ ©️Fans Forum minutes since c2012. 1 Quote
chaddyrovers Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Looking forward to this friendly, I am attend and not far of the start of season now. Should be good weather with a good crowd in the Stadium 1 Quote

I like a pint normally but I’ve never had a beer at a football match ever. Before yes, after yes, but I like to concentrate on the game. 1 Quote
Gav Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Not sure if Accy are running corporate hospitality for the match, but it’s first class, really good value and puts many clubs higher up the league to shame. Quote

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 8 Posted July 8 Is there going to be a flat Cap whip-round amongst our fans to go towards transfer fees? 1 Quote

I do think more of the PL clubs should make the effort - a sell out, secondary spend and a chance to show locals the ground is often the biggest cash injection of the season. It is a credit to Rovers that they have always been good to do this. 4 Quote

Four are playing in a Premier League cup competition in America and Man Utd are playing Leeds in Stockholm. If they do play a lower/non league team they send the kids. I was at Chorley on Saturday against Wigan and there were around 2200 on. They play Nobbers tomorrow and expect a similar sized crowd. To a club like Chorley that is a God send. 8 Quote
Cherry Blue Posted July 8 Posted July 8 We've 2,117 travelling fans (😉) in the stand and behind the goal. Don't forget your sunscreen 😎! Expect there'll also be a few mixing with the Accy fans. Quote
Cuppliance Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I've mixed with the Accy fans before for this friendly but whenever I've gone to Stanley as a neutral I see people wearing Rovers and Dingle gear with the home fans. A lot of people to watch Stanley as their 2nd team in all honesty. These days I'd say that fans that turn up to Ewood are from the surrounding towns of Blackburn like Darwen or Accy rather than the town itself. Quote
